@manufanhawk5 — Aspen really isn't that close to CO Springs or Boulder, so i don't know about there. Lance does have a home in Aspen where he seems to be spending a lot of time, so I guess if you ride around enough you will eventually see him.
Local cycling club holds 20 races over the summer, 1/week. Plus regular races 2-3x/year locally, plus lots more on the Front Range. Google "colorado bicycle races"
@manufanhawk5 — Hah! I wish I was rich. I believe I rode that race on my 15-year-old KHS Montaña Pro FZ (recently replaced with a 2nd hand Klein Adept Pro). Wearing my 8-year-old Bell helmet.
@koko56 -- Saw him again only at the finish. And tho' I'd like to say our times were close, I, being 50 and working for a living, raced the Citizen course, which is shorter than the A course he was racing on. And Lance does pretty good on the technical stuff, too. He beat one of the best MTBers in the state (Len Zanni) on a course that includes a gnarly, rocky singletrack downhill.
Cool...but the sound is weird. Is this your helmet cam? Send me a picture of how you set up the camera. I'd like to see how ya did it. Love you, Blaise
A very tiny mic buried in a supposedly waterproof shell, with wind blowing over it whenever you are biking. The camera mounts on top of my helmet, but for the off-bike shots I carry the helmet in my hands. No screen, so you can't actually see what you are shooting until you download it.
Wow. So lucky I wasn't there. I'm sure to have beaten him. (This was the event that I got lost on last yr, and I spent the race trying to beat the sweep, rt?) Great job, guys. I'm living thru you vicariously...

Did you ever see him after the finish?

@koko56 - Yeah, we headed back to his house in the West End, had a couple Lone Stars, and played some Wii golf. [not]

@MrDichotomies Oh I see.
But yeah - I looked at the times and was like "woah" - at the 2nd guy and the top top few being so close together.
I did not realized what level this was - I though tit was kind of causal at first... well does not seem so now! :P
