I agree with Murray702,  many of today's thai fighters would be more than prepared for Ramon these days. Back in the 80's when he fought, the Thais weren't accustomed to so much boxing in the arsenal, rather more kick, knee, elbows and clinch - with more and more Europeans and westerners in the game, the sport has evolved, Ramon no longer has the advantage he then had.

I had chance to train with both of them together before buakaw became famous but.. back then, namsaknoi simply played with buakaw and beat the shit of of him so easy. buakaw got mad and started trying harder but could not do shit as soon as namsaknoi started 'pham'(the clinch) there is reason why namsaknoi has nickname 'emperor' he out smarts and out performs buakaw.

im 21. i started trainning when i was 13 to 17. 7-8 hours per day in Korea. i had to quit because of my parents but.. yeah no i agree, buakaw is great fighter! but it seems lyk there are so many unknown fighters who are just as good as him in thai. well, best way is to experience i guess.
