McCain is behind an initiative right now to take medical benefits away from military retirees. McCains loyalty is to his country club friends, not to the warriors who have and continue to defend this nation. McCain is a Blue Falcon traitor. This video makes me sick with all his talk of heart and courage. He might have had a moment of glory but this guy has become the enemy. Vote him into oblivion for the sake of the troops.
Obama is not half the man John McCain is. I only wish that America would have realized it before the election. But people have to be burnt before they know not to play with fire. I hope we can overcome the damage that has been caused by this administration.

"The discoveries of healing science must be the inheritance of all. That is clear. Disease must be attacked, whether it occurs in the poorest or the richest man or woman simply on the ground that it is the enemy; and it must be attacked just in the same way as the fire brigade will give its full assistance to the humblest cottage as readily as to the most important mansion."
"Our policy is to create a national health service in order to ensure that everybody in the country, irrespective of means, age, s3x, or occupation, shall have equal opportunities to benefit from the best and most up-to-date medical and allied services available."
People over look that it was the Republican President that put is in this economic downfall. And now they're complaining because Obama isn't solving their problem.
Second if you looked at the history of America or economic system is a part of a huge cycle. Every twenty years or so there is a down turn in the economy. There has been a whole slew of economic "panics in our history. If you look at the 20th century you see it as well; in the 70's there was a horrible recession, in the 80's there was a up turn, in the early 90's a down turn, in the early 2000's there was an up turn, and now like clockwork there is an up turn.
oh ya and the economic trouble did not start until the Democrats were in control of congress, so you can not realy blame the president for the problems.
and people are pissed at Obama because in his campaigne he decided to promise hope and change. he said he would fix everything immediatey. Also its not just that he hasnt done it yet its that his plan is stupid.
@fntsywlkr Tell me how 1 man, and an idiot at that can destroy the whole economy? And if he did it's because he was a Liberal in disguise, spending the way he did.
@fntsywlkr he cant solve any problems, all he was ever any good at was stapleing communist propaganda to telephone poles, while john Mc' cain was flying F-4 phantoms and landing on moving aircraft carriers.
And you liberal idiots thought McCain was the warmonger. Obama not only is the warmonger here,he's a puppet for the Military Industrial Complex and Wall st. You know Wall st,where all those million dollar bonuses were given out to god knows who at your expense. So now the military contracts have been awarded and companies are gearing up for the war effort. This is what Obama calls putting people back to work.We are fucked with this ass in the white house.
Actually, Robert Gates is one of if not the very first to actual stand up to the military-industrial-congressional complex. He didn't only push to cut funding for irrelevant and un-necessary F-22s, but also to slash funding for C-17 cargo planes, the Navy's stealth destroyer, the Army's futuristic combat vehicle and other futuristic war programs... Obama pursued Gates' reasoning by cutting the also irrelevant and not needed European missile defense.
Its called juxtaposition. See, if we see a video with mccain giving a speech and then a video of Churchill giving a speech then mccain must be as brave as Churchill, right? And if there is a clip of him after hearing a speech from Teddy, then he must have all of the good qualities of Roosevelt right? Its a simple manipulation of emotion(s). They were somehow trying to give mccain some credibility by comparing him (incorrectly might I add) to far greater men.
must say..that Mccain would help Iranian people now more than mr.populist Obama...he is trying to be such a democrat but how does he help democracy in Iran now? and how does his diplomacy help againts threats of North Korean regime? ...:/

well if you didnt get it when he sang it - he meant it as a joke.and the reason why millions of Iranians of people are demonstrating a ralling in Iran for democracy and justice - is G.Bush administration which imposed hard sanctions on Iran (how paradox). And getting rid of Ahmedinejad could be done in other covert ways than your bomb bomb tactics. Just talking like Clinton and Obama now do wont bring us nowhere.and it was Clinton in 1998 who passed the "Iraqi liberation act" -which aproved bombs
lol, thankfully I'm a Brit, so I don't have to have either McCain (though I think his properly a decent man-politics aside), or Obama. But I think this video is rather good no? It's well made and the music fits nicely I think....
I voted for McCain and I look at this video for inspiration and I don't mind Obama in office as long as he doesn't turn America into a complete socialist country
i whole heartedly agree. this and reason to be republican from the rnc really make me want to start a revolution and bring back the true Republican values to America that I strongly feel America needs at this time...

The tax, which passed in the House on Thursday, would affect only bonuses paid during 2009. Typically, Merrills bonuses are paid in January, along with the rest of Wall Streets. But the investment bank pushed $2.5 billion of the bonuses out the door in December in advance of its merger with Bank of America.

I doubt we really have a choice in the matter. With our current situation I can't think of one thing, short of Iran attacking US soil, that would get enough people on board to even think of looking in Irans direction.
I'm gonna go ahead and say, fuck Iran, but seriously....
If Russia was occupying Canada for some reason, don't you think we would take a fuckin look around to see what the fuck was going on?

tom, sadly that would still be better than where we are. If gore was in office and did absolutely nothing after 9/11 we would be more safe as a country and not in a war with an uninvolved country.

Eventually, someone was going to have to man up to our mistakes and close it.

That kinda goes against.... well, everything this country was founded upon.
The bush administration basically gave these terrorists a get out of jail free card with how they handled them.
They knew that we would eventually have to do something with them and their actions made sure that the only thing we could possibly do with them is keep them there forever.

... how in the fuck are we to seek justice now? With our "interrogation tactics" any court in the US would be forced to toss the case out. There isn't a state in our union that would take the confession or information from a man that was water boarded.
And where the hell else are we supposed to send them? Every civilized country out there either doesn't want them or would be forced to set them free if a trial took place for the same reasons we would have to.

Something has to be done with them. I would love to actually hold trials for them, convict them, and then execute them, BUT....

I KNOW the Constitution & Bill of Rights can certainly cope.
You know,I think those you mention were all American citizens or thier crimes were commited on U.S. soil so they have the "right" to be supported by the American prison system. And BTW, WHO gives a shit if they stay in gitmo WE still have to support them either way.Best to keep them there and NOT spend tax payers money to fly them somewhere else.I think it`s just liberal cry babies that give a shit.

The biblethumping godbotherers and their GOP toadies have been told to take a hike and get the hell out of Federal science research, funding and direction.
What a great start to this anniversary year of Charles Darwin!
I don't know if your are heavily pro-life or if you are just thumping the republican drum, but either way, bush's legislation that Obama overturned was a great success for science and the human race.
I hope that we can really take this time to scientifically jump forward to make up for the scientific dark age we just exited.
We are never going to see eye to eye on this, but you know damn well if you had cancer and the cure was found by stem cell research on embryos, you would take the cure;p
Now, I'm not saying that he shouldn't be held responsible for his actions. I'm just saying that when talking about the economy, especially with our current situation, we can't talk in terms of weeks and months. This is going to take years, if not a decade.
Why are you so ready to place blame on him? I know you completely disagree with his approach, but you could at least wait and see how something, anything of his pans out before blaming him.
Do you want an exact date? Because I don't believe you are going to find one. I would think all of the new bills with his name on them will become his fault when/if we can declare them as failures. When will that be? Most likely not within Obama's presidency, especially when talking about the economy.
We didn't have the best economy going into his presidency and although we weren't "taxing and spending" we were "borrowing and blowing".
When is the honeymoon over and things become Obamas fault. He's signed his John Hancock to some big spending bills and now our tax money is used for international abortions and he wants to kill some embryos for research. When is he responsible for his actions.
Also, the worst recession, global recession in 26 years, that the brightest economist didn't see coming is also Bush's fault.Your liberal thinking of tax and spend is the way out, right, wrong. All thats going to do is put us further in debt. Not a good thing at this time and you know it.

641 Thousand jobs lost in February.
National unemployment now stands at 8.1%.
All thanks to the Bush economic policies of the past 8 years. Financial market & banking deregulation, Bush SEC appointee ignoring blatant Ponzi schemes by Madoff & others, even after being informed of irregularities, billions & billions wasted in Iraq, etc, etc, etc.

Vote him into oblivion for the sake of the troops.

fntsywlkr 2 years ago
Second if you looked at the history of America or economic system is a part of a huge cycle. Every twenty years or so there is a down turn in the economy. There has been a whole slew of economic "panics in our history. If you look at the 20th century you see it as well; in the 70's there was a horrible recession, in the 80's there was a up turn, in the early 90's a down turn, in the early 2000's there was an up turn, and now like clockwork there is an up turn.
Zman7307 1 year ago
oh ya and the economic trouble did not start until the Democrats were in control of congress, so you can not realy blame the president for the problems.
and people are pissed at Obama because in his campaigne he decided to promise hope and change. he said he would fix everything immediatey. Also its not just that he hasnt done it yet its that his plan is stupid.

Obama promised the world, knowing he could not deliver. He deliberately lied to get elected. In that sense, what he did was a total disgrace.

This is what Obama calls putting people back to work.We are fucked with this ass in the white house.
bigtom714 2 years ago
Actually, Robert Gates is one of if not the very first to actual stand up to the military-industrial-congressional complex. He didn't only push to cut funding for irrelevant and un-necessary F-22s, but also to slash funding for C-17 cargo planes, the Navy's stealth destroyer, the Army's futuristic combat vehicle and other futuristic war programs... Obama pursued Gates' reasoning by cutting the also irrelevant and not needed European missile defense.
Obama has been a good president thus far.

The Bill of Rights, for one.
The majority of those held at gitmo have yet to be tried for any crimes whatsoever. So there's that whole "...swift and speedy trial..." thing in the XIth Amendment, not to mention the VIIth Amendment, as well.
And, finally, it all comes down to Justice. Yes, I know, how dare I think that they deserve justice.
Silly me, thinking that America should actually SUPPORT American ideals like a fair trial with a jury.

Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, formerly Guantanamo prisoner No. 008, was among 13 Afghan prisoners released to the Afghan government in December 2007. Rasoul is now known as Mullah Abdullah Zakir, a nom de guerre that Pentagon and intelligence officials say is used by a Taliban leader who is in charge of operations against U.S. and Afghan forces in southern Afghanistan.

And who was President in December 2007?
It certainly wasn't President Obama who released all those people.
Who might it have been? Huh. Oh! I KNOW who released all those people!
George W. Bush released all those people.
So, take your choice. He released a terrorist or, he released an innocent man, who, after years of torture, now seeks revenge against the country that tortured him.
Either way, Dear Leader Bush is responsible for his release/career as a terrorist.
Try again. LOSER!

AP WASHINGTON The Taliban's new top operations officer in southern Afghanistan had been a prisoner at the Guantanamo Bay detention center, the latest example of a freed detainee who took a militant leadership role and a potential complication for the Obama administration's efforts to close the prison. U.S. authorities handed over the detainee to the Afghan government, which in turn released him, according to Pentagon and CIA officials.

I won an administration that respects the Constitution & the Bill of Rights. I won an administration closing the gitmo concentration camp. I won an administration that WILL NOT TORTURE. I won an administration that will let the Bush tax cuts expire, cut taxes for the middle class & is addressing the economic crisis spawned by the GOP.
I won a whole lot. So did America.

Hey tom, did you know that a large percentage of fertilized eggs naturally abort? Seriously, check it out. They are fertilized, then they are simply flushed out of the woman's system
That is why the vast majority of doctors consider pregnancy to begin when the embryo embeds itself into the womb. This happens about 12 days after conception
Embryonic stem cell research is done on embryos that are 4/5 days old.
That is well before scientific and medical definition of pregnancy.Good enough for me.

Monday morning, President Obama will sign legislation overturning the ban on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research.
The signing statement will be:
"SCIENCE. It WORKS!"
The biblethumping godbotherers and their GOP toadies have been told to take a hike and get the hell out of Federal science research, funding and direction.
What a great start to this anniversary year of Charles Darwin!
LiberalandProudinMA 2 years ago

Jara426 2 years ago
"When [do] things become Obama's fault?"
Jara426 2 years ago
When is the honeymoon over and things become Obamas fault. He's signed his John Hancock to some big spending bills and now our tax money is used for international abortions and he wants to kill some embryos for research. When is he responsible for his actions.

They knew full well what AUMF meant. it was INTENDED to be the last resort, not the first.
Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld and the rest of the neocon cabal desperately wanted that war. They got it.
And we got 4500+ servicemembers DEAD, 10s of 1000s more shattered in body and spirit, billions of dollars lost, and a trillion + deficit.

New unemployment figures released today.
You did a heck of a job, Bushie!
& what of "The Maverick"? Voted with Bush policies 95% of the time!

Tom, I mean no offense here, but you need to give shit a lil time.
Obama has been president for like 40 days now? He has like 1100+ days left right?
Bush never accepted responsibility for his mistakes....
And I'm not blaming bush for everything, but I think if someone really cared about this country they would have questioned bush in his 2920 days instead of jumping on someone in their first 10 days like you did, man.
Give shit some time and don't be like limbaugh and hope America fails.

Yes, my party DID vote for the AUMF. No one in Congress, at that time, could have ever imagined that the President would LIE so blatantly about Iraq.
Lots of people not in Congress knew full well that Bush was lying through his teeth about Iraq. But the fear of being called "unpatriotic" was enough to keep the fence sitters & almost all the anti-war types in Congress in line long enough for Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld to get their vanity war started.
The blame lies solely with Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld.
