Greeting from Romania and congratulations for this posting. You have an unique, beautiful culture and tradition and it is great you give everybody the opportunity to see it. Although some try to erase it from history because they are too afraid of their own insecurities, don't let them!

I like this video. Thank you for posting it. I am leaning about the Caucasus in a cookbook that I checked out from the library. I am so happy to learn more. I wonder if someone could tell me about the dog at 1:50. What is it? I love it. It is so beautiful. Thumbs up, and thank you.
Okay Georgian friends don't be funny this IS Abkhazian, it's the Apsny Apsuwa dance, you can see it is Apsny Apsuwa when you've watched the dance itself, the music simply fits the dance.
dancers on the photos are mostly Georgians. Music is similar to many Caucasian melodies of various nationalities. look for videos - "erisioni" or "Sukhishvili"

not true Abkhaz APsua people are Megrelian speaking Georgians people who call themselves Abkhaz are not real abkhaz they are Russified cherkez to occupy Georgia by Russian help
no dude, that's not true. abkhaz are not megrelian and they never spoke georgian. they are a sepreate people who used the georgian alphabet, and has the same royal house...that doesn't mean they were georgians.
my own roots, and Caucasian music : I would say that (90% sure this music is Circassian ( Nart, Adygh) similarities with Ossetian SIMD dance .The pictures are misleading, except that of the women wearing a conical head dress, , typically Circassian ... The other photos show various ethnical dresses ... Georgian SVANS, KHEVSURI,ACHARI, unmistakably,
Circassians ancestors (the Narts )lived on the west nothern slopes of the Great Caucasus and west of Crimea they had nothing to do with the Russians and Georgians (Kartuli)They were part of the
20 or 3O ethnical groups of Caucasus,
their language is part of the Adyghean group closer to the Kabardin and Abkhazian tongue ... Ossetians speak an
Indo-European tongue close to Farsi, (Iranian.and Kurdish) the rest will follow ...
Circassians are people who call themselves Adyge(Kabardians(North Caucasus)Shapsugs(Turkey)Bzheduhs they are linguistically close to Abazegs(Abkhazs &Abazins)hope this helps

Thanks for information about this tune. Yes, the pictures are misleading, I also thought about it when I choose them. -Will anybody comment on them?
Thanks! Anyhow, I needed some illustration for the region of Caucasus.
What is Nart? Adygh?
