  • great to see people sharing Transcendental Meditation

  • The Paul McCartney and Ringo Star concert was great in NY. TM is the key to learning the truth of life.

  • Nice sneeze into the pickup mic.. hehe.. nice breasts too..

  • Great technique for sure - doing it since 1973.

Forgive this rrivolous question: is long moppy hair the style these days for men?

  • @TheEternalLight1 finally !!! someone who knows what they're talking about !! ( everyone thinks they know what they're talking about)

  • TM was not actually widely established in India before Maharishi revived it, and it is quite different from that normally thought of as meditation in India.

There are 3 types of meditation identified by recent research.

    1. Concentration - what we usually think of as meditation

    2. Monitoring meditation like mindfulness.

    3. Spontaneous self transcending like Transcendental Meditation.

TM reduces trait anxiety about twice as much as anything else for which reliable published research exists.

  • They need to make it clear that although the Maharishi introduced it to the west and it is around 50 years old, it has been around India for hundreds of years and is well established. The Maharishi introduced it to the mass populations so that one does not need to be a monk to benefit from it. Try it it helped me a lot and I'm now off anti depressants.

  • Great interview! and I loved doing it. My first time on TV.

  • Great interview - its a great technique!

  • This was a great interview

  • I checked the research. There's no reason it shouldn't be widely available through NHS. It would save the country a huge amount in medical costs, and stimulate peoples' creativity to get the economy going again. On the other hand, it would make drug manufacturers' profits fall. Maybe that's why it isn't in the NHS?

  • Very Interesting.

  • Brilliant! This should be offered on the NHS will save millions on drugs and other treatments.

  • Well done; hope you'll be able to manage the number of initiations

  • Brilliant! The interviewers were so good too.
