I have one of those engines in a jacobsen lawn mower, but its a 1.1L only difference is the stroke I think.

I have a similar setup in my car. What carbs were you running on the crossflow?

I am looking for choke and jet settings.

I am running twin 40s with 32mm chokes 130 mains, 180 airs, 0.45 F9 idles. 4.5 aux venturis

and how many engines have you gone threw,on my third...any advice to go to a zetec?i would welcome..all steel at the mo,running 175,but sick of rebuilding it!got it in an se..great fun...but looking at a zetec

hi, whats it like to drive with the 244 cam? That has a power band between 3-8 thousand rpm, how is that on the road and in traffic?

nice westfield , is it an SEi? i have one with twin dellortos, but only 1600 cc engine.
