Those Commentaries are believed to be found in a Study Version of the Bible. As Niv bible I have at home has no commentary unless I look at a study version.

Verse 21 in the KJV was most likely added by a copyist to qualify the explanation that Jesus gave as to why He could cast out the demon and the Apostles could not. Whereas Jesus simply said they needed faith, the copyist obviously didn't think that this was enough and added the comment that you needed prayer and fasting as well. Reading the text, in context, clearly shows that this verse was added later and was most unlikely to have been in the original.
Just curious..The Bible says, "when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13)". The SPIRIT of TRUTH aka the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost as KJV declares that dwells within every believer leads us into truth, not the translation. The NIV has been used to edify the body with solid Biblical teaching and has assisted in making disciples. Which is our Commission! If you want to pick a translation throw away the KJV & grab the Hebrew OT and Greek NT.
@XGDShinigami You should compare the hebrew to the KJV. You have to always compare the copy to the original. Even the KJV is a copy it was put together 1611 by the romans. That's why they stop celebrating anything that was jewish and the holidays. Check it out! Study Hebrew words and get a better understanding for example.. with all due respect pastor dowell i think your talking out of ignorance . if you had taken a course in introduction to greek you would have known why those scriptures have been omitted. if you would go study the original language which is greek for the new testament you will see for yourself that those versus were not in the greek manuscripts . i do read the NAB version bible my bible does have those missing versus but with brackets indicating meaning not in the original greek manuscripts .
It's because there are variants in the many copies of early manuscripts from the second to about the ninth century. The passages that are taken out are passages that aren't found certain groups of manuscripts. So since we don't know in some cases whether they were added by the scribes or taken out, the different translators have to choose whether to take them out or leave them in depending upon which manuscripts they go by.

If you read closely with some of those verses in the NIV, they will remove the text from the scripture, and put it somewhere else in the notes. They tell you to "see NIV notes for verse ___ on page blah blah". Why do you have to look for what the most high says in some sort of notes? If our creator wanted to put his word into notes he would have said that his word can be omitted and removed to some other area based on man's discretion of what is important.

@tonyteb The Geneva Bible and the KJV are not the same text. The Geneva Bible was partially translated from Luthers work in German, as well as the Satanicus and Vatanicus,and Alexandrian texts. The KJV is partially derived from Amenian text held by the monks. The cannon was not complete until the KJV. Yes there were 5 Bibles prior to it. But I do not believe they were the inspired Cannonized translation. Read Peter Ruckmans book "how not to teach the greek". He's a bit rough but acurate.

Right before me is a interlinear Greek-English New Testament, the same one used by the KJV Translators... Sorry you will need to know the Truth that King James commanded the translators to follow as closely as possible a previous translation and that was the Bishops version, there is a very noticeable difference between the Greek text of stephens 1550 version and KJV. There is a book you need to read (writting for King James).

Copyright laws state that each NEW bible version has to be 17 % different than the last. Since I worked once at a book warehouse I was shocked at all the new bible versions out. That Acts 24:7 is deep man. The NIV version sounds like it's written from a completely different point of view. Part of Paul's response mentions "heresy" while the NIV drops that word in lieu of "they call a sect" (Acts 24:14) Why would the NIV remove a passage about a law enforcement agent of the Roman gov't "violently" taking from the midst of the jewish hierarchy a man accused of sedition?

The kjv was translated in 1600's by "white" men. I prefer to use an aramaic to english translation. (Dont trust white guy translation) anymore than politicians.

I asked a pastor about Sunday Church over Saturday Sabbath and was quoted a verse about some people esteem one day over another and some esteem all days the same. That is what they use to disregard the commandment. How do I argue against that verse? Thanks for your help.
@bethaddjkp Matthew 5:17 Jesus spoke those words Himself. Pastor Dowell also says read the entire chapter in context not just one verse and it makes so much more sense because that's what people do read one verse. Let me tell you, I had a discussion with someone about keeping the commandments and the Holy Spirit shut them down...period, they didn't even respond back to me. Trust the Holy Spirit and let Him lead you. Never argue the Word, God can handle it all by himself! Be blessed.
@bethaddjkp I also ask, do you believe that God and Jesus are one, because you are basically saying that they are 2 people, the Bible states that the Father and I are one John 17:21, again if they change that then they are calling the Father a liar. Jesus also said he is not doing his will but the will of the Father John 6:38. First it says "the father and I are one" and then Jesus says "I am not doing my will but the will of my father" one makes you believe they are One person and the other makes you believe they are two. I have always been told the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all One individual. But Genesis says let US make man in OUR image....plural ...which is it it confuses me.

To be truthful, you cant look at the KJV with the NIV. The translators of the NIV DID NOT take verses out of the KJV. The NIV (and pretty much ALL newer translations) are based on another set of greek manuscripts. When studying its good to use both because there are some things (believe it or not) better translated in the other set that the NIV comes from. I dont like the NIV but there are others I like. Everyone has to study for themselves. Now thats the truth..
@king4him How can you study it if verses are gone. It is one thing to say its a different translation and to have words that may be different but still mean the same thing. It is a whole different can of worms to completely remove certain verses.

My point is your logic doesnt work for anything else. in math 2+2=4 in history Columbus showed up in America in 1492, in science water is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. If somebody translates those things differently ie... 2+2=5 it may be a different translation but it doesnt make it right. 2+2 only has one TRUE answer. They cant both be right.
@bethaddjkp Hi brother... Your examples do not fit the situation. Your examples are like this one math book has 2+2+4 and another math book has 2+2=5... That is NOT what is going on here... An example of what is going on here is in one math book on page 238 they have 2+2=4. In a newer edition of the math book on page 238 gives the example of 2+3=5. The NIV is looking at a different SOURCE than the KJV. Its not looking at the SAME one. So its not a translation issue.

@king4him Greek source text. Even if taken from seperate Greek sources, there are too many gaps in the passages that would give these chapters different meanings . I mean these are big passages missing that can not be overlooked.

It is translating from a different source. In order for something to be REMOVED that would mean it was there first. Thought you might like to know I followed along in the Geneva Bible dated 1599 and it reads just like the KJ. Small differences in terminology. Example, Woe be unto you,Scribes and Pharisees,hypocrites: for ye devour widow's houses,even under a color of long prayers:wherefore ye shall receive the greater damnatoin.

@skaismith I still have my NIV only because I cannot show people what's wrong without it. I have over 12 versions of the Bible. All of which help discover lies. Having come out of the pentecostal AOG version perversion, I know that most believers in that denomination buy Bibles based on how cool they look and rarely open them. If a Bible smells new after a year, the owner is in dire straights!

Even the layout and the way the verse numbers are embedded in the paragragh in that cursed thing are meant to make everything run together. Therefore making it more diffucult to memorize scripture at all. Satanic through and through.
IMPORTANT! PD, you forgot Acts 18:21 They left out Paul saying that "...by all means I must keep this feast..." in order to downplay the actual Biblical feast days of Yah. Verse 21 in the KJV was most likely added by a copyist to qualify the explanation that Jesus gave as to why He could cast out the demon and the Apostles could not. Whereas Jesus simply said they needed faith, the copyist obviously didn't think that this was enough and added the comment that you needed prayer and fasting as well. Reading the text, in context, clearly shows that this verse was added later and was most unlikely to have been in the original.

Just curious..The Bible says, "when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13)". The SPIRIT of TRUTH aka the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost as KJV declares that dwells within every believer leads us into truth, not the translation. The NIV has been used to edify the body with solid Biblical teaching and has assisted in making disciples. Which is our Commission! If you want to pick a translation throw away the KJV & grab the Hebrew OT and Greek NT.

@XGDShinigami You should compare the hebrew to the KJV. You have to always compare the copy to the original. Even the KJV is a copy it was put together 1611 by the romans. That's why they stop celebrating anything that was jewish and the holidays. Check it out! Study Hebrew words and get a better understanding for example.. God forgives... but in hebrew El nose means God forgives and he carries our sins on his shoulders. You will start to think differently and deeper

with all due respect pastor dowell i think your talking out of ignorance . if you had taken a course in introduction to greek you would have known why those scriptures have been omitted. if you would go study the original language which is greek for the new testament you will see for yourself that those versus were not in the greek manuscripts . i do read the NAB version bible my bible does have those missing versus but with brackets indicating meaning not in the original greek manuscripts .

It's because there are variants in the many copies of early manuscripts from the second to about the ninth century. The passages that are taken out are passages that aren't found certain groups of manuscripts. So since we don't know in some cases whether they were added by the scribes or taken out, the different translators have to choose whether to take them out or leave them in depending upon which manuscripts they go by.

I will give this man some points he's making. The sabbath is not on Sunday but its Saturday. However, the Bible (NT) clearly states that one is not saved on the count of what he does or does not do on sabbath, or even if he uses the sabbath. Your faith in God comes first (Romans 14)

He's pretending that he's finding it out right now. Look here: The KJV was based on the Textus Receptus, made by Erasmus (a dutchman). This was standard for hundreds of years. Then scientists found older manuscripts and started doing something called "text criticism". Both theories are available so dont cry.

If you read closely with some of those verses in the NIV, they will remove the text from the scripture, and put it somewhere else in the notes. They tell you to "see NIV notes for verse ___ on page blah blah". Why do you have to look for what the most high says in some sort of notes? If our creator wanted to put his word into notes he would have said that his word can be omitted and removed to some other area based on man's discretion of what is important.

"COMMA JOHANNIUM" apparently the earliest and OLDEST versions of the new testament did NOT have certain NT verses in the earliest copy. they apparently were added by translators to favor doctrine later on in history. but what the jehovahs witness do and other new age bible copies do is omit those verses that were not there in the oldest text. peace

@tonyteb The Geneva Bible and the KJV are not the same text. The Geneva Bible was partially translated from Luthers work in German, as well as the Satanicus and Vatanicus,and Alexandrian texts. The KJV is partially derived from Amenian text held by the monks. The cannon was not complete until the KJV. Yes there were 5 Bibles prior to it. But I do not believe they were the inspired Cannonized translation. Read Peter Ruckmans book "how not to teach the greek". He's a bit rough but acurate.

Right before me is a interlinear Greek-English New Testament, the same one used by the KJV Translators... Sorry you will need to know the Truth that King James commanded the translators to follow as closely as possible a previous translation and that was the Bishops version, there is a very noticeable difference between the Greek text of stephens 1550 version and KJV. There is a book you need to read (writting for King James).

Copyright laws state that each NEW bible version has to be 17 % different than the last. Since I worked once at a book warehouse I was shocked at all the new bible versions out. They had sport theme bibles, remix Bible, and many more abomination bibles. Since working there they put out Dozen of new versions.

That Acts 24:7 is deep man. The NIV version sounds like it's written from a completely different point of view. Part of Paul's response mentions "heresy" while the NIV drops that word in lieu of "they call a sect" (Acts 24:14) Why would the NIV remove a passage about a law enforcement agent of the Roman gov't "violently" taking from the midst of the jewish hierarchy a man accused of sedition?

Pastor Dowell also says read the entire chapter in context not just one verse and it makes so much more sense because that's what people do read one verse. Let me tell you, I had a discussion with someone about keeping the commandments and the Holy Spirit shut them down...period, they didn't even respond back to me. Trust the Holy Spirit and let Him lead you. Never argue the Word, God can handle it all by himself! Be blessed.

Jesus also said he is not doing his will but the will of the Father John 6:38. Hebrews 13:8. hebrews also talks about the old & renewed covenant. bottom line...keep the commandments I hope this helped some we should strive to keep all of Gods Word!

First it says "the father and I are one" and then Jesus says "I am not doing my will but the will of my father" one makes you believe they are One person and the other makes you believe they are two. I have always been told the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are all One individual. But Genesis says let US make man in OUR image....plural ...which is it it confuses me.

To be truthful, you cant look at the KJV with the NIV. The translators of the NIV DID NOT take verses out of the KJV. The NIV (and pretty much ALL newer translations) are based on another set of greek manuscripts. When studying its good to use both because there are some things (believe it or not) better translated in the other set that the NIV comes from. I dont like the NIV but there are others I like. Everyone has to study for themselves. Now thats the truth..

My point is your logic doesnt work for anything else. in math 2+2=4 in history Columbus showed up in America in 1492, in science water is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. If somebody translates those things differently ie... 2+2=5 it may be a different translation but it doesnt make it right. 2+2 only has one TRUE answer. They cant both be right.

@bethaddjkp Hi brother... Your examples do not fit the situation. Your examples are like this one math book has 2+2+4 and another math book has 2+2=5... That is NOT what is going on here... An example of what is going on here is in one math book on page 238 they have 2+2=4. In a newer edition of the math book on page 238 gives the example of 2+3=5. The NIV is looking at a different SOURCE than the KJV. Its not looking at the SAME one. So its not a translation issue.

@king4him Greek source text. Even if taken from seperate Greek sources, there are too many gaps in the passages that would give these chapters different meanings . I mean these are big passages missing that can not be overlooked.

@Tekno2012 All I said was simply this... (i am NOT here to defend the NIV, so I dont want you or any other person to back me into doing that)... The NIV isnt REMOVING anything... It is translating from a different source. In order for something to be REMOVED that would mean it was there first. This video does not bring up the fact that KJV is translating from source A and NIV is translating from source B and to the one who doesnt know, it looks like NIV didnt like this verse and "REMOVED" it.

Thanks for letting us know of the current issue regarding this particular topic. I have request this video before, and I thank you for getting this out to people. Also, for everyone there is more then just this version, what pastor has showed us. This was the tip of the iceberg there is the NJKV (New Kings James Version) and the ESV (English Standard Translation). Personally I think they are trying to destroy the bible with out burning it.

Thought you might like to know I followed along in the Geneva Bible dated 1599 and it reads just like the KJ. Small differences in terminology. Example, Woe be unto you,Scribes and Pharisees,hypocrites: for ye devour widow's houses,even under a color of long prayers:wherefore ye shall receive the greater damnatoin.
No difference in the message,just a bit more antiquated language.

@skaismith I still have my NIV only because I cannot show people what's wrong without it. I have over 12 versions of the Bible. All of which help discover lies. Having come out of the pentecostal AOG version perversion, I know that most believers in that denomination buy Bibles based on how cool they look and rarely open them. If a Bible smells new after a year, the owner is in dire straights!

Even the layout and the way the verse numbers are embedded in the paragragh in that cursed thing are meant to make everything run together. Therefore making it more diffucult to memorize scripture at all. Satanic through and through.

IMPORTANT! PD, you forgot Acts 18:21 They left out Paul saying that "...by all means I must keep this feast..." in order to downplay the actual Biblical feast days of Yah. After all, they can't have people questioning Easter and Christmas now can they? That is an important passage missing from the "Not Inspired Version"

If the path to salvation is narrow and few will find it, that by default excludes Christians! Most religious people are Christians...billions of them. This, by definition, explains the method that describes the "broad path to destruction." If Christians were a reasonable bunch, they would learn how to distinguish a trail from a highway and learn the difference between "few" and "many".
