The suns should of never traded shawn marion for shaq, they made that trade in 2008 so the suns could keep up with the teams in the west, especially after the lakers acquired pau gasol.. This trade makes sense for the Cavs. They didn't lose anything. And cap wise, if the combination of Shaq and Lebron seems to fail they can deal Shaq before the trade deadline, or use all his money to sign a better big man in the 2010 free agency class ( If Lebron doesn't leave ) for someone like Bosh. I still think the key for the Cavs to win a championship,

I don't think they sucked... they ran into a bad matchup and a good team in Orlando in the playoffs. Shaq is a better fit in Cle. than he was in Phoenix. The man can still drop 40 on a given night. and he's a big body in the Lane that can really help prevent offensive rebounds. Cavs gave up next to nothing to get Shaq, a HOF player who can still play, this is definitely an improvement.

I don't think it cures their woes. What they lacked vs the magic was a lengthy perimeter defender to play Turk. Delonte is just too small to play vs the magic on the defensive end. But the way I see it, Ben Wallace and Pavlovic for Shaq is a good deal. He can still be productive enough to more than compensate for what those two guys can do. Also, just being objective here, Orl had a tough series vs Boston and it may have been diff had Garnett been heatlhy and the other bigs on the bench.
