There were students and staff that did pass away, and I am not a parent but I am sure I would have took offence of "Reporters" laughing in a situation as this one was, and have been more concerned about what was going on in the school or any updates even, talking about where the parents should go or who to call, never about how many people can fit in a car. As a reporter you should know the time and place to make a joke. They could have gave contact information or updates. not making jokes.

They weren't 'inspired' by anyone. They were two students who more than likely were having a rough time in there life and flipped out, they more than likely knew each other so instead of doing it solo, which would of been harder, they did it together to get 'relief'. I'm not saying what they did was right or anything but you can't say they were inspired by a certain person unless the two kids got on camera and for sure said it.
