I don't hear much resemblance at all to 'Donna', other than the tempo of the song. This was a 1959 recording by BV with The Shadows. It was later overdubbed with strings when he signed to Liberty Records and issued as a b-side to 'One Last Kiss' in 1960.

I actually thought in the first seconds that it actually WAS "Donna" and was put her by "mistake" ; )
