@jigsawjimas1990 sorry not too sure what the problem is, sometimes online detection softwares aren't that accurate or have some campatibility issues with certain hardwares, i will trust the win 7 info. plus does you mac has a built in intelHD integrated graphics? if it does, the internet may detect the integrated gfx rather than the atiHD.

You have to take into account that the Screen itself is $1000. This iMac is the $2000 variant, and that includes the screen. You would be hard pressed to build a PC with the same exact specs, or better than this computer for that price.

You also have to consider that your homebuilt PC has absolutely no dedicated service. The depreciation value is crap. It takes up a whole lot more power. Takes up a whole lot more space. And personally, I prefer OS X over Windows. In three years, I could sell that iMac for $1000. Your computer couldn't sell for $400.

Anyway, to each his own. If you like PCs, thats fine. I like Macs. What I don't like is trolls coming in and acting like assholes.

@IMAGIMATIONanimation I'm not a troll or an ass hole. I own that EXACT same iMac. I use it to edit movies for my other channel and as a family computer. Now, HDDs are WAY over priced at the moment due to flooding in taiwan, so you have to know where to look at the moment. A much better video card costs $200, your power supply is obviously way overkill. I built my PC with a 2500k instead of the iMac's 2600, because for gaming it makes no difference. Add the $100 for the proc and the total is $900

@iPansophitus AND, that PC will be much better for gaming specifically due to the much better GPU. Keep in mind that the iMac's GPU is underclocked. Also, in a few years, don't sell it, buy one more video card for next to nothing and get a huge performance boost. I like OS X for video editing, but I cannot vouch for the iMac being a good value. Also, I'd be happy to send you my Newegg cart if you're curious. I picked out a nice z68 board and PSU for future upgrades as well.

The iMac is better or more games like these. Not necessarily the size but the power and how it can handle them so much better than the MacBook Pro. I personally have an iMac 27" (the same specs but 16GB of ram) and a MacBook Pro 15" Late 2011 (best specs) Model and the iMac got about 50-60 FPS as the MacBook Pro got 30-40 FPS

If you want portability than the MacBook Pro is for you, but i you want the best quality you can get, get the iMac
