I'd reccomend a larger power supply, and if you have 'only one' slot, make sure there's at least space for a second one below it to make sure the heatsink will fit.

I'd agree with the other dude, the ampage on the 12v rail was a serious issue on my machine and getting a better PSU solved it immediately.

500w is fine, but the 22a will cause you some issues I think. Not too sure about the 4890, but my GTX280 requires 40a on the 12v -_-

Nope. 4870x2 only has slot to connect the bridge for crossfire. 4870x2 was made to be crossfired with another 4870x2. :(

PS3 pretty much made the same mistake as Atari did in the early 80s. They concentrated too much on hardware which made them go under in the home console market. The Sapphire Radeon 4670. I see my brother play it at that setting with the fps string on the top right corner of the screen. it goes depending on the intensity of lighting and physics and stuff between 53 and 81 fps in 1080i (he prefers 720p cause it's clearer on his 20" LCD TV)

My brother is getting over 100fps in all of the Half Life games and between 60 and 80fps in Portal and TF2.

Btw, this so called "piece of shit" has 320 processors at 750mhz each. Also, the card only uses 55 Watts in total, so pretty much any computer that has PCIe 2.0 can play virtually any game smoothly (except Crysis).
