so you do it on the fly as you listen to the track, I was looking at compu show by elation lighting a sister compnay of american dj that has a timeline and sync option available but is very expensive, someone else told me the same as you, break the song down into different sections and have a sence or chase for that part of the song and change it as the track plays, still a good bit of work it in, your shows look good very impressive, good work...
@wwwmrdjie not for these videos. I wasn't triggering scenes manually. It's all pre programmed. I previsualize the way I want the lights to move in my head then figure out how to make it work within the program. I was also looking at CompuShow which looks much like Sunlite Suite, but it's like 1300 to get to us that function. That timeline feature would be a timesaver.
Thanks. For a lighting guy without a gig or a rig this lets me scratch an itch I can't afford at the moment.
By listening to the song over and over and over again, creating a scene or steps in a scene and going back and checking the timing to see if it works then moving on and repeating. It can be a long process without a timeline to work with.
For prerecorded music like this as an example one scene I just made for a new video has almost 100 steps in it and there are 8 scenes so far. Not all with that many steps but you get the idea.
Check the video tuts for MyDmx for info. and I may make 1, 1 day
