wwe 12 is really good. it's as good as HCTP I think, they're different, but for the first time I can say that one game can be funny as HCTP. yeah, I know that you can climb a building, or destroy a car, but it's something different

Great video....I think SvR06 & SvR07 were the last 2 decent SvR games....SYM & HCTP however were way better. I have all of them, aswell as JBI & the PS1's. WWE looks great...trading in SvR11 for it...SvR11 is good..but when it comes down to matches, which is the MOST important part, it lacks realism.
The same losers that think WWE SvR sucks must be the same ones that think that WWE Legends of Wrestlemania and that god awful WWE All Stars are great games since they have the same crappy control system.

I think that Smackdown series was more fun an the SVR series was more about simulation as you could clearly see in the later years but in looking for the best simulation they took out some over the topness that made the series fun to play! Which I like realism but i like over the top to I think they should try to find the common ground between both because its a VIDEO GAME an they should try to build the BEST GAME! All Around.

honestly i bought hctp today for the first time of my life and i didnt like it maybe because i havent done story mode but i dont like it so far, i think sym is better

10) Game is usually outdated before it is even released (should be released in May, after Wrestlemania, but they're greedy, so they release it near Christmas)

Yeah, I think anyone with a brain knows the Smackdown vs RAW games are total shit. The last one I thoroughly enjoyed was SvR2006. I stopped playing after 2007, got 2010 because of Story Designer, stopped again because of the "Ten created Superstars a story" limit, and only tried to play 2011 because I got the game for free in August of 2011 (three months before WWE '12 comes out).
I think THQ knows their games will be bought by little kids regardless, so they don't don't even try anymore.
I don't know about the drama u guys got going on but Smackdown v Raw sucks ass..... I buy it every year hoping it will get back to the old smack down when u had many many choices, story lines and matches and consequences of decisions... MANY story lines were possible but instead they erased that and gave me horrible shit to replace it
Why is it that all you guys want, is violence, blood, and crazy ass jumps off stuff thru tables? WWE12 worked on what us real wrestling fans want, better gameplay, harder ai, comebacks and wake up taunts, create an arena. THQ is making a WWE simulation, I'd rather play awesome smoother gameplay of 2 technical wrestlers in the ring which is what WWE12 is doing, than a old ps2 game that all people ever say is...I can actually get on the tables!...who cares? this is my opinion.

Now with 2012 there making it too realistic and put in a fun factor, but sadly that won't be the case. Ahhh... The good old days playing some Smackdown having a blast. @RyanG291 we hate on SVR because of its restricted and sluggish gameplay. in my opinion the only good SVR games were SVR and SVR '06. They actually had SOME freedom. and were fun. The last ''refreshing'' SVR game was SVR08. The rest hasn't introduced pretty much anything new. 09, 10, 11 were all same old shit. WWE 12 on the other hand, i have my hopes up for it. THey said that its inspired from HCTP, which is the perfect WWE game in my opinion.
@RyanG291 in any case I can't see how anyone can play SVR over Smackdown. Smackdown games were more realistic than tshe SVR ones. Sure, the animations werent perfect and the physics. but at least you weren't restricted to do whatever you want, every CAW and wrestler had a unique logic which made the game more dynamic. Facial expressions, fighting on the street, etc. you could do WHATEVER you want. But nowadays every match is a boring slow grapplefest, in svr.

@RyanG291 Yes, of course, but in the old days the games werent an accurate description of WWE at the time either. Nobody was jumping off buildings, nobody was pushing each other around in shopping carts, and that jumping off the titantron thing just happened ONCE with Shane and that was during the WWF era.
@RyanG291 Just falling of the HIAC is a unrealistic thing since that has only happened ONCE and that was before you could do it in any SD game. Not to mention that A LOT of the coolest moves in the games weren't even being used by anyone IN the WWE at the time that they were in the game. So that "simulation" argument just doesn't work for me, especially when a lot of the moves in the game are from indie feds and wrestling feds outside of the WWE.

@RyanG291 Honestly, I dont think any of the SD games have a good 1 on 1. If I HAVE to play one then SYM or HCTP has a better 1 on 1 because it's more fun. The last SVR game I tried playing seriously was SVR06 and I just couldn't stand the no-selling in that game. Didn't make for a "realistic" match whatsoever. I tried playing a TLC match in SVR11 once but I got so mad at the shittyness that I turned it off. It wasn't exciting or stimulating, it was just slow and retarded.

SYM and HCTP had the best gameplay and roster of all wwe games. you'll see how they are much more entertaining and youll even get wild adrenaline rushes during playing. also i think they're great because of the element of surprise within them. its amazingly programmed since an opponent or you can 'take the upper hand during the match, etc.'' the original svr had a great soundtrack, and was fun as well in my opinion so i suggested it.

-ability to steal a taunt/finisher
-the matches are much more dynamic, and energetic. in the new games you cant really connect moves, but instead if you were to do so, you'd have to do a few boring grapple holds. here you can combine hitting with grappling, which provides you with much more freedom
-facial expressioins, and semi-taunts like the rock has after grapling

THQ sucks ass. how the hell did they go from this to what they are now? I buy the new games and whatever but the stuff in the vid is amazing . If only they had this shit in the new games like WWE 12, with the cool falls count anywhere places, the climbing up the stages and all that other cool stuff was in the game, it'll be a lot better. Great video....I think SvR06 & SvR07 were the last 2 decent SvR games....SYM & HCTP however were way better. I have all of them, aswell as JBI & the PS1's. WWE looks great...trading in SvR11 for it...SvR11 is good..but when it comes down to matches, which is the MOST important part, it lacks realism.

I think that Smackdown series was more fun an the SVR series was more about simulation as you could clearly see in the later years but in looking for the best simulation they took out some over the topness that made the series fun to play! Which I like realism but i like over the top to I think they should try to find the common ground between both because its a VIDEO GAME an they should try to build the BEST GAME! All Around.

Yeah, I think anyone with a brain knows the Smackdown vs RAW games are total shit. The last one I thoroughly enjoyed was SvR2006. I stopped playing after 2007, got 2010 because of Story Designer, stopped again because of the "Ten created Superstars a story" limit, and only tried to play 2011 because I got the game for free in August of 2011 (three months before WWE '12 comes out).
I think THQ knows their games will be bought by little kids regardless, so they don't don't even try anymore.

Why is it that all you guys want, is violence, blood, and crazy ass jumps off stuff thru tables? WWE12 worked on what us real wrestling fans want, better gameplay, harder ai, comebacks and wake up taunts, create an arena. THQ is making a WWE simulation, I'd rather play awesome smoother gameplay of 2 technical wrestlers in the ring which is what WWE12 is doing, than a old ps2 game that all people ever say is...I can actually get on the tables!...who cares? this is my opinion.

@RyanG291 we hate on SVR because of its restricted and sluggish gameplay. in my opinion the only good SVR games were SVR and SVR '06. They actually had SOME freedom. and were fun. The last ''refreshing'' SVR game was SVR08. The rest hasn't introduced pretty much anything new. 09, 10, 11 were all same old shit. WWE 12 on the other hand, i have my hopes up for it. THey said that its inspired from HCTP, which is the perfect WWE game in my opinion.

@RyanG291 in any case I can't see how anyone can play SVR over Smackdown. Smackdown games were more realistic than tshe SVR ones. Sure, the animations werent perfect and the physics. but at least you weren't restricted to do whatever you want, every CAW and wrestler had a unique logic which made the game more dynamic. Facial expressions, fighting on the street, etc. you could do WHATEVER you want. But nowadays every match is a boring slow grapplefest, in svr.

Nobody was jumping off buildings, nobody was pushing each other around in shopping carts, and that jumping off the titantron thing just happened ONCE with Shane and that was during the WWF era.

@RyanG291 Just falling of the HIAC is a unrealistic thing since that has only happened ONCE and that was before you could do it in any SD game. Not to mention that A LOT of the coolest moves in the games weren't even being used by anyone IN the WWE at the time that they were in the game. So that "simulation" argument just doesn't work for me, especially when a lot of the moves in the game are from indie feds and wrestling feds outside of the WWE.

@RyanG291 Honestly, I dont think any of the SD games have a good 1 on 1. If I HAVE to play one then SYM or HCTP has a better 1 on 1 because it's more fun. The last SVR game I tried playing seriously was SVR06 and I just couldn't stand the no-selling in that game. Didn't make for a "realistic" match whatsoever. I tried playing a TLC match in SVR11 once but I got so mad at the shittyness that I turned it off. It wasn't exciting or stimulating, it was just slow and retarded.

SYM and HCTP had the best gameplay and roster of all wwe games. you'll see how they are much more entertaining and youll even get wild adrenaline rushes during playing. also i think they're great because of the element of surprise within them. its amazingly programmed since an opponent or you can 'take the upper hand during the match, etc.'' the original svr had a great soundtrack, and was fun as well in my opinion so i suggested it.

-Freedom. the games arent limited by animations.
-Roster
-ability to steal a taunt/finisher
-the matches are much more dynamic, and energetic. in the new games you cant really connect moves, but instead if you were to do so, you'd have to do a few boring grapple holds. here you can combine hitting with grappling, which provides you with much more freedom
-facial expressioins, and semi-taunts like the rock has after grapling
