@bloodelf754 It doesn't look like the kind of instant effect that I would expect from cortosis. The lightsaber blade would immediately deactivate if it were, which leads me to believe that it was her mastery of the force that shielded her from the blade.

Satele Shan is using her mastery of Telekinesis to push back the plasma inside the saber, which is causing some of the magnetic containment to rupture, hence the 'flaking' effect as some plasma escapes the field.
In other news, this means she's a Jedi Shadow and a Jedi Sage at the same time. Satele is a cross-classing cheater. Hence the look of surprise on Malgus' face.
Also, see 4:14 for the moment that Malgus realizes she's maxed both the tank and TK trees. Not happy.
@JJJBunney001 Force Absorb is canonically a very rare power, and the way the rest of the blade was getting brighter rather than dimmer suggests the plasma was building up inside the containment field, rather than dissipating.
If there was an imperial sniper there, Satiel jumps down as the commander is about to be killed, and she almost does that AoE force push, but she would get 1 shot sniped before she can do anything. Remember the boy scouts motto, "Be prepared... and always have an experienced Sniper following an army as defense against Jedi!!!!"

So a skilled Jedi master could still be sniped off by a highly skilled master agent. I mean if the commander guy & his troopers could kill so many Sith, it would only make sense that a sniper with equal time & effort put into training as Satiel would be able to kill her.

By her heritage, she has amazing connection to the force. She is the elite of the elite. A sniper shot, in the end is a sniper shot. Unless shot while she was fighting an incredibly strong foe (i guess malgus might fit this description) Satiel will have no problem protecting herself against sniper fire imo

I found that making a pandora station out of this band sticks almost exclusively to his bands. All good stuff, no tweaking really needed like many pandora stations.
