GUYS GUYS GUYS!!! Remember, your comparing apples to oranges! the contour is and HD and that older xc2010 is not..... in two months there gonna have NOT ONLY an HD, But an "Ops" HD....... MUCH MUCH smaller....1 oz. AND RECORDS IN .AVI not .MOV like the contour...... I was looking at contour, gopro and the Ops HD and for the money im goin with the Tachyon ops HD....$139, 1 oz, only 720p not 1080p... but I'm onlky gonna be doing youtube paintball stuff and it's over $100 cheaper!
Are gonna use it to make videos for use on internet, then I would recommend the Tachyon. Do you want to view the videos on a big flatscreen then I would recommend a HD-ready of full-HD camera like the Vholdr or the GoPro HD.
Some other advantages of the VholdR are some little luxerious features like the possibility to rotate the lens and to adjust the recording settings.
At the end of the day the question is: howmuch are you willing to pay and what are you planning to do with it.
I would like to say that I would use it to watch it on the TV, but I'll be lying as this will be on very rare ocasions.
Videos take space and I will mostly upload mine on my youtube channel. My budget isn't very big either (as I am a student). This all points me to Tachyon XC then...
P.S. In the video above are you capturing in HD mode for the Vholdr or is it in SD mode? If it is in HD mode than I do think that its too dark and that the Tachyon deffinetly wins in that aspect.

Do you have problems with the tachyon's audio, i always find my to be muffled and random shots of noise happen while playing paintball with it on
