hand sanitizer actually works really well cuz it is mostly alcohol... so if you dont have any rubbing alcohol or almond extract it works just as well! :)

if you are a slow counter.....i say about 15/20 seconds..if u are a fast counter i'd say at least 25/27 seconds the max. you can always check it. if you lift the newspaper you can tell if it is stuck to your nail. when that happens, you left it on too long. so if you counted slow and it got stuck..try 15 seconds. also if the print did not show up on the nails, you can not repeat it. somehow that doesnt work. I tried this nail experiment several times now.

i have sall hansen's nail harden nail polish and i noticed it smudges the news paper print or fades it. so you have to use a certain kind of clear finger nail polish

i tried the alcohol method and i noticed if you dont leave it on long enough the writing does not come on. if you leave it on too long the paper will stick to the nails. i noticed its best to apply the news paper strip right after the finger nail has been soaked...it will drench the newspaper

You can remove the remaining newspaper bits by rubbing your nails with some rubbing alchohol on a q-tip, but rub it very carefully so that you dont smudge thee writing :)

@samanthaistupid i leave mine in water for about 30 seconds and then if u get the newspaper bits stuck on your nail u can dip your finger in water and lightly rub it off in in a circular motion, but if u rub too hard the ink will come off so be careful.Also i find dipping the paper in water makes it show up better, but make sure the paper isn't dripping wet so push it to like to side up the edges of the cup to get the excess off
