i used to race the same bike when i was younger, people say its underpowered but if you pick the right lines and break late you can easily catch up with the 125 2-strokes like i did.
I understand but i was a beginner rider when I got my Honda 100 at age 12 and within the first month I already wanted a 150 or anything that had more power. It is pretty pothetic so only get it of your possitive it's what you really want.
Both of you 12 year olds should get a 150r if you are looking for a 4 stroke or a 85 if you are looking for a 2 stroke, for the 5-7 one deffinitly don't get the 100 maybe even a Honda 125 2 stroke would be good
@16jakwar yeah, but 150Rs are stupid expensive. I'd still recommend a CRF100 or a CR80. I have yet to see a used 150R for under $1500 in my area. 125 wouldn't be bad if the kids were more advanced riders, but if they are looking at a CRF100 I'd guess they are more at the beginner phase. The stupidest thing you can do is get too much bike. Learning curve will be harder and more possibility to get hurt.
@ImTehMiDyyh I sold my CRF450 and bought the CRF100 to play around on. Its a lot of fun, but I decided to upgrade to a CR80 two stroke. It has a taller chassis with much better suspension and has enough power to pull me around. The best of both worlds is what my fiancée did and swapped the CRF100 engine into a CR80 chassis.
How old are you? Just asking bcouse im 12 and going to get CRF 100 or Yamaha TT-R 110. I like the CRF more bcouse its seat is higher so its kinda kood for me.
@OnlYUszmeGunZ no, in stores the crf 100s are around $2500 new for the 2011s. Mine is a 2004 I bought used. I'd never buy a new dirt bike, they cost way too much.
