  • Very enjoyable.

  • I've always loved this song. Thats for doing such a great job.

  • I've been a big fan of this song ever since I first heard it. Nice job. The only thing I would say is, you really should give credit to Dick Nolan at the end of your film. Something like, "Words and music by Ellis Coles, performed by Dick Nolan".

    Other than that, very nice.

  • This is a very cute song! I so love the music of Newfoundland! I actually remember hearing it one time in Peggys Cove, NS which was a bit of a surprise but then again, I believe the Maritimes are truly God's only special little corner of the world! :-)

  • wish someone could do the second part to this tale

  • Check back around the summer of 2009. I have the record of the sequel, Courtroom in the Sky. I've chosen the courthouse for the video - it's in "Aunt Martha's" home town. But I will have to round up different "boys in Carmanville."

  • Oh But your wrong Dennby,We listen to this all the time in the Dominican Republic. You may ask y Dominicans would listen to this. but I'm from P.E.I. and i live in D.R. But my home is still there. and the music is still with me

  • I stand corrected, flatty. A co-worker from PEI told me that the song is very well known around the town of Souris where she is from. So I should change the description to - "an anthem to a Newfoundlander but also well known around Prince Edward Island and the Dominican Republic." lol Cheers!

  • @flattty haha your not the only one from PEI familiar with aunt marthas sheep lol good old saturday night hoedown

  • First of the person playing that is dick nolan

And he did not actually use Those French Piano Accordions lol So Nice Try....

  • Thanks Newfie2000, it took me ages to lip sync myself with Dick Nolan :-) The piano accordion was my late step-father's specialty and the instrument I'm faking on was his - I have no idea how to play one! I've seen your videos and your button accordion playing is very beautiful. Cheers, Denny (by)

  • Thanks. its fun to watch And you did pretty good on the lip singing.
