I have two problems with this video. The first is it's heavily edited. It makes me suspicious we aren't hearing everything in the context.

I'm not against nuclear energy and I think we need to expand our use. But I want to hear more about how he'll use wind, solar, and other technology.

McCain has changed so much from four years ago to now that he's very hard to take at his word, plus he is not offering anything to the working class. John McCain's climate change plan is "nuclear, and drill wherever we can".
Nuclear is not the solution for the future. The only reason why we should consider it is because it is the cheapest form of energy. It should be used as a quick-fix while we put up more stable forms of energy, such as solar and wind energy. Then, as we put up the wind turbines and solar cells, we should close down the reactors until all of our energy is clean, reliable, and secure forms of energy.
it sounded like a decent speech until he started talking about using nuclear power. we all know that nuclear power is very difficult to neutralize and if leaked out into the planet, is more lethal than carbon emissions. it also sounded like he wanted to force other nations to become fuel efficient and that concerns me.
If I was old enough to vote, I would go Obama just because of all of the bullshit he's spouting about global warming. Water Vapor is by far the most prominent greenhouse gas. If he does act against global warming, he'll just be wasting the nation's time and money.

it doesn't really seem like much will really happen , it's simple too . the change in environment is easy to see , like tying your shoes . pollution would have to end completely , it would make no sense to work in big business if you can hardly go outside cause it's too damn hot . if pollution and climate change effects agriculture and farming then what do you eat ? at a steady pace , but even slight would effect the future dramatically . so this is a rather serious issue .

Um, water vapor does not alone accelerate the global warming effect- it is excessive methane and carbon dioxide. Water vapor actually forms clouds which allows the opposite effect of reflecting sunlight back into space- check your sources.

Global Warming is a problem that must be addressed and Nuclear power should be further developed to a non toxic solution but we are not there yet geo thermal is a better solution.

Nuclear power might not pollute while it is being used. But uranium is one of the most dangerous, environmentally harmful, and least available product/material to not only mine, but to dispose of when it expires. Nuclear is NOT the answer. McCain's lack of knowledge on the topic of global warming is truly embarrassing. Any serious person who's studied the subject in depth knows that man-made CO2 has very little to do with climate change. CO2, whether man-made or not, is but a small percentage of the overall greenhouse gases effecting the climate. Water vapor is by far the most prevalent. Moreover, rising CO2 levels do not precede warming trends, they follow them, and in case McCain didn't know this, the Earth is currently cooling.
"Today's solutions are tomorrow's problems." Nuclear power will not SOLVE our energy addiction. The problems using nuclear power include (1) uranium mining - destruction of the land; (2) greenhouse gas emission (yes, power plants release tons of water vapor into the air) which is THE most prevalent greenhouse "gas"; (3) cost of storage of "waste" for the next million years (your great grandkids will pay for this!); (4) potential of uranium getting into the "wrong hands". So its NOT the solution!
If we did as France does and reprocess the waste so that it can be used a second time then the waste is fairly nominal. There are caves that have been dug in the deep desert salt mines that are made to deal with the waste. I'm no lover of France but they set the example for the world when it comes to nuclear power. It's cheap, clean, and safe.

While it is true humans contribute only about 5% of total CO2 generated (the rest being natural), the earth NATURALLY absorbs a certain amount of CO2, which has kept CO2 and O2 in balance. Human activity (industrial CO2 generation and deforestation) are THE fundamental reasons why this is now out of balance! SO READ UP ON THIS

Nuclear is not the solution for the future. The only reason why we should consider it is because it is the cheapest form of energy. It should be used as a quick-fix while we put up more stable forms of energy, such as solar and wind energy. Then, as we put up the wind turbines and solar cells, we should close down the reactors until all of our energy is clean, reliable, and secure forms of energy.

it doesn't really seem like much will really happen , it's simple too . the change in environment is easy to see , like tying your shoes . pollution would have to end completely , it would make no sense to work in big business if you can hardly go outside cause it's too damn hot . if pollution and climate change effects agriculture and farming then what do you eat ? at a steady pace , but even slight would effect the future dramatically . so this is a rather serious issue .

Um, water vapor does not alone accelerate the global warming effect- it is excessive methane and carbon dioxide. Water vapor actually forms clouds which allows the opposite effect of reflecting sunlight back into space- check your sources.

HFCs and PFCs are the most heat-absorbent, but there are also wide differences between naturally occurring gases. For example, nitrous oxide absorbs 270 times more heat per molecule than carbon dioxide, and methane absorbs 21 times more heat per molecule than carbon dioxide.
Clearer fuels and renewable energy help in all cases. Nuclear is too stupid an alternative,

Nuclear power might not pollute while it is being used. But uranium is one of the most dangerous, environmentally harmful, and least available product/material to not only mine, but to dispose of when it expires. Nuclear is NOT the answer. The answer is lowering our demand and use of electricity, and increasing our use of RENEWABLE sources such as solar and wind. McCain knows jack about the nations energy needs.

McCain's lack of knowledge on the topic of global warming is truly embarrassing. Any serious person who's studied the subject in depth knows that man-made CO2 has very little to do with climate change. CO2, whether man-made or not, is but a small percentage of the overall greenhouse gases effecting the climate. Water vapor is by far the most prevalent. Moreover, rising CO2 levels do not precede warming trends, they follow them, and in case McCain didn't know this, the Earth is currently cooling.

The problems using nuclear power include (1) uranium mining - destruction of the land; (2) greenhouse gas emission (yes, power plants release tons of water vapor into the air) which is THE most prevalent greenhouse "gas"; (3) cost of storage of "waste" for the next million years (your great grandkids will pay for this!); (4) potential of uranium getting into the "wrong hands". So its NOT the solution!

If we did as France does and reprocess the waste so that it can be used a second time then the waste is fairly nominal. There are caves that have been dug in the deep desert salt mines that are made to deal with the waste. I'm no lover of France but they set the example for the world when it comes to nuclear power. It's cheap, clean, and safe.

.05% of all greenhouse gas and most of it is produced naturally through decaying vegetation and animal carcasses and y'know the OCEAN. Besides, water vapor is the most prevalent greenhouse gas. Maybe YOU should do a little research. If you're going throw statistics in, then at least be precise and get it right! CO2 has risen from about 280 to 384 ppm since 1750. While it is true humans contribute only about 5% of total CO2 generated (the rest being natural), the earth NATURALLY absorbs a certain amount of CO2, which has kept CO2 and O2 in balance. Human activity (industrial CO2 generation and deforestation) are THE fundamental reasons why this is now out of balance! SO READ UP ON THIS

"Reality" is this: Obama might not even get the nomination if superdelegates stick with Clinton. BHO, his wife, and his pastor are intrinsically un-American and an Obama presidency would be an international embarrassment.

McCain's lifetime score on the environment is a miserable 24%, although better than Bush, it pales in comparison to Obama's lifetime 86%. So with all of McCain's experience, why hasn't he been proactive on the environment?

There's 4 billion cows in the world, each one belches out 300 pounds of methane per year. That's 150 Million tons of methane, which is thousands of times worse that what humans could do in a milenium.
