This is pretty tragic. I think you may need to slow down, go back to basics, try playing with a metronome set a lot slower than you just tried to play it and tune into each other. I'm just starting to learn this piece with a friend and I know it's a challenge (mostly due to the relentless speed etc) but you seem to not be listening to each other at all.

The accordian alone deserves reverence. The piano is off and unable to truly be appreciated. The effort, however, is worth noting -- I myself could never play this piece without years of practicing the piano, I'm sure. Thanks for the thought but no thanks for the quality. (I mean this all objectively and as a critique -- not a scurrility. By all means continuing playing.)

At first I thought it could be a great cover. But starting from the middle I grew more and more convinced that you are very brave to upload such a poor performance to such wide audience. you should train real hard to at least match the original. Please, do not spoil marvellous associations with this song, you really perform badly. Pace of both instruments mismatches each other, each performer only listens to himself making the melody turn in a stream of awfull inaudible mixture. awful!

well, as a musician, i can say that actually piano plays almost flawlessly, in fact at some points around 1:20s accordion seems cant adapt to it...

And i dont see any tuning problems at all.

If you pick out each instruments, they sound pretty darn good! Don't listen to the haters, the instruments just need to be tuned to each other better and the levels balanced better.

Your tempo increases gradually and it is absolutely way too muddy. There's a lot of notes in this piece and you need to find melodic and counter-melodic lines to follow instead of just playing everything with what sounds like an equal, even weight. I know nothing about the accordian so I have no comment there. But the cooperation could use a little more work. The pianist has the technique to do what he needs to do, but just needs to take a bit more time.

NIce video.. but it could have been alot better if the pianist didnt use the pedal it only creates noise when you change the chords, and played softer so the accordeon could do the melody, after minute 1:30 I couldn´t understand any note... try playing more delicate but expressive so that we can hear each note.But good video btw.

Great playing from both performers but would have prefered to listen to each one individually as I don't believe they sound as good together. Maybe its because the piano is too loud...I play both the piano and the piano accordion (Not as good as these guys!)and feel that Yann Tiersen did the best thing....ie to play the piece on both instruments individually.
