  • @Bustaxel It's better than Lightning Bolt...

  • @Bustaxel Actually, the fact is that you're just an ignorant intolerant cunt (:

  • @Bustaxel 'Pseudo pretentious hipster'. Oh yea? Well your an unsuccessful fail troll!

  • @CyanideSovereign I feel like "pseudo pretentious" is a compliment. You should thank that guy.

  • @hellofart16 I would but I'm a terrible actor, my 'hipster' act is so transparent. He's too kind.

  • King Crimson and Beefheart would be fucking proud.

  • im glad someone finally told me this genre existed.

  • Amazing modern psych music. Beautiful progressions, tight, take a page from the King Crimson songbook and make it completely original. Forget it's EMO (prog rock) and listen... incredible...

Fuck the fact Google make you type in a bunch of asshle leter to leave a comment. FUCK GOOGLE...

  • he licked my face right up

  • @JonathanExplore Well~ take your gentle mind elsewhere. Thanks for stopping by and not leaving a hate-fueled comment.

  • Where can I buy or download this song?!

  • Giraffes? Giraffes! - When The Catholic Girls Go Camping, The Nicotine Vampires Rule Supreme.

Might just be the strangest thing I have ever seen written on youtube.

    And yeah, 1.45 onwards rocks.

  • this is so freakin' cool

  • math rock dont exist maine

but this band kick heavy dyke ass

  • OMFG THIS IS AMAIZING

  • WDFFFFFFFFF

  • i just drop acid

  • 1:45 onward is amazing!

  • @VilleSkateKrewRep

It's one of those guitar solos that you wish it went on for another minute or two.

  • @Digitalknifeparty yeah hey! good solid solos like that really only need to be played over those four chords before it, then just someone slaying a fretboard on top of it. especially with a lot of bends and little shred sections. it just makes it work so good, i wish more bands would follow that recipe

  • mindfuck.

  • BEST INSTRUMENTAL ROCK BAND I'VE EVER HEARD!!!

  • @cristian33335 Yes they are really awesome! Check out Tera Melos

  • @ssbrosking36 Thanks For the Banda they play so good too 8D!

  • mindfuck

  • after 03:47 the song is shit....

  • @Hautamekki after 0:00 the song is the shit

  • EARGASM

  • you guys... is it bad if I can fap to this?

  • i saw these guys live a while ago (fuck yea it was awesome:D) and it is the one guitarist that loops a riff on an octave pedal.

  • I DON'T EVEN

  • I think the bass sound is a guitar looped with an octave pedal (like in Seven Nation Army). It's still a cool line though

  • And this is one guitarist and a drummer, use the google machine before you post naive comments

  • Chills

  • DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!

  • You can definately hear a bass line >.>

  • I now know of 16 virgins in the world

  • @61JohnnyB61 heey..clever!

  • Is there an omnichord used in the intro?

  • @StandBehindTheGiant i don't believe so i think it's 2 guitars with at least one of them using an octave pedal

  • It kinda grows on you. I disliked the intro, but got engrossed as the song went on.

  • Came for prog ballads about number theory; leaving more satisfied than I could have imagined. : )

  • indeed. most certainly, i must agree.

  • oh my

  • anybody know the name of this genre?

  • @XXxGrimTheReaperXXx MATH ROCK!!!!! Also look up the band Piglet.

  • i first was like "ewww aww why would someone intentionally listen to this?" now i cant listen to anything else

  • I find this picture easy to masturbate to.

  • Fantastic song...see great potential for a bass part to be added too. But it's fine this way too.

  • 15 people can only count 4/4...

  • @GrayxxXXxxGuitar what time is this in?

  • @manzalicous its math rock so the time signature changes every several measures

  • @lifesafloortile That's not always the case. Half this tune is in 4/4

  • @totlamaddd yeah i realized that after the comment that every few measures was a bit of an exaggeration for this song

  • 666 likes D:

  • lol, a good deal of this song sounds like a mathy version of astronomy blue oyster cult, well, at least the bass is, the guitar just doing whatever crazy shit it feels like

  • @Guhfugyamum well there is no bassist first of all, its just a guitar being looped, and don't compare blue oyster cult to this band, because blue oyster cult is the shitty band out of the two

  • A ladybug shooter? Win.

  • Comment removed

  • @BRdrumsss There is no bass lol, just one drummer and a guitarist with some sampling / looping equipment

  • @Lizzzeg I definitely believe there is a bass playing along with the guitar riff during the solo, listen to it with headphones on.

  • @RawJimmify nope, that's a loop, he's just playing a bunch of strings at once in that loop. I always listen to music with headphones on. Look up the band, it's just a guitarist and a drummer.

  • @BRdrumsss really? i swear i heard some really cool bass in there, either way it's still incredible.

  • FLAMS ADD POWER B*TCH

  • This is awesome!!!

  • This reminds me of my late hamster, Rest in peice lil guy.

  • the speed of sound in seawater is a really good math rock band

  • Giraffes? Giraffes! is good, and so are these...

    This Town Needs Guns

    The Redneck Manifesto

    Piglet

    Maps and Atlases

    Ghosts and Vodka

    The Fall of Troy

    The Octopus Project

    Tera Melos

If you are new to Math Rock, I REALLY recommend you listen to these. Enjoy:)

  • @XbinkyyX Maps and Atlases isnt so much anymore. Their first album was, but their new stuff went more into the indie genre. Still a good band.

  • @l337man4 I never really took the time to listen to maps and atlases too much but a few songs and I can see the change too. Reminds me of Minus the bear even though they aren't the mathiest band

  • @shadowoble101 Exactly. Still not math rock, but I fucking love Minus the Bear

  • @XbinkyyX I would also highly recommend "cast of cheers"

  • @XbinkyyX Just want to add to @XbinkyyX 's sweet list of math rock bands..

    Hella

    Don Caballero

    Battles

    rock on

  • @XbinkyyX oh that would help my search for more mathrock because I've been so into TTNG for the past few months thanks

  • @XbinkyyX the octopus project is mathy to you? i never thought of them as math rock, just experimental poppy stuff. the octopus project is an interesting band nonetheless

  • @XbinkyyX Much appreciated, only listened to these guys an hella, im strating to get addicted.

  • @XbinkyyX Don Caballero and some of Atlas' stuff would also be a good starting point!

  • @XbinkyyX I concur with Tera Melos and This Town Needs Guns

  • @XbinkyyX

wow thanks you introduced me to piglet, the redneck manifesto, ghosts and vodka, and tera melos! thx so much they all rock :)

  • Damn great title for a song!

  • Comment removed

  • wow

  • It makes me feel as a leef em sekam ti

  • Nothing like headbanging to this bullshit at 5AM tripping on acid

  • i doubt anyone in this band has had any math education past applied 1

  • I'M FEELING LIKE I'M A ROBOT AND I'M HAVING ROBOTIC SEX OR STUFF

  • 15 people were stomped on by the catholic girls

  • i approve

  • 4/4 time signature?

    its gotta be

  • @chumanjames I agree 4/4 mostly. Just a lot of off time stuff.

  • LAGTV?

  • Brilliant!

  • Not the biggest fan of this genre, but these are obviously two very talented musicians who created an amazing sound in this song. It's like the music tells a story. Any negative criticism I wold have is dissolved by the heartstopping break at 1:43. Very tasteful and artistic song.

  • I spin to this. This song makes me a spin doctor.

  • I've just today found this music. Today is the best day ever!

  • What is this shit and how can I replace my blood with it?!?

  • @Tataru5117 BRILLIANT!!!!!

  • luckily I'm cool enough to like this band

  • please tell me where can i download this album. please...

  • @jeripolmolina google! "band name - album name: mediafire" works 90% of the time.

  • @hellothorns thank you so much. ^^

  • @hellothorns Fuck Yeah that's the way!

  • @jeripolmolina search for giraffes at bandcamp.com

  • I'm glad there's 2 minutes of nothing after the song so we an completely take in everything our minds were just assaulted with.

  • its easy to see from all these comments..that us who like giraffes?giraffes?..are pretty weird people(and glad about it)..or .just.high on something

  • @01jarf : not high on anything. i'm a 49 year old married dad who just happens to have a broad taste in music, including stuff like this. no need for mind-latering substances as long as there are ppl who play music that is worth listening to. and no, i'm not weird either :).

  • Finna finna chicken dinna. This song is sweettttt. First time I've heard it, and I finna download it.

  • If you close your eyes while listening to this song, you hear epic music in the dark.

  • @antonrelish Obvious comment is obvious

  • @ninjapwnzor the irony has become recursive o.o

  • i jizzed my pants the first time i heard this.

  • This song gets more awesome every time you listen to it

  • These guys remind me a bit of Liquid Tension Experiment

  • @ZekkAlpha without the gay part of it! no offense

  • ok. wow!

  • Is that bass tapping? Excuse me, I'm going to go throw up from witnessing perfected awesomeness.

  • @redfoxskater its a guitar drum duo so no a similar band called piglet does that quite a bit though

  • i really wish they had a singer, They'd be unreal good with the right vocals.

  • @ScottDavidKeller I agree. But I don't think the worlds yet responsible enough for having an ear for instrumental bands. They'd go straight to their vocal songs without paying any attention to the equally amazing instrumental songs. Know what I mean?

  • @redfoxskater I can see where your comin from, thats why i'm a huge fan of instrumental bands like this town needs guns and colour

  • the riff that starts at 1:45 is so sexy! so is the solo!

  • 3:47 ~ NOOO!!

  • Comment removed

  • 1:45 ~ YEAAH!!

  • Yeah, tap a tap a tap a. Check out my new band "Sordid Nun Fight", we have songs called "Bones? BONES!? ahhh..............phones!", "Pension!!! Flu!!!!! • @MrStephenferguson Great work, now GTFO.

  • @Szaam

    W? DYLM? ILY? hugs bra.

  • @MrStephenferguson

    wtf dude?

  • @MrStephenferguson Check out my new band "No One Gives A Flying Shit About You're Opinion Here".

  • @PurityCurse

Purity is a curse? Help is available, Curses often bare heavy on ones soul, have a flapjack and some hibiscus tea followed by a cry wank listing to.............. Sordid. Nun. FIGHT!

  • @MrStephenferguson Can you say random word generator? And I guess if you enjoy wanking while crying power to ya.

  • @PurityCurse

I much prefer the hibscus tea, but the shame juice makes mediocre music more.....spicy? wait, no........ (checks random word generator) beefy.

  • @MrStephenferguson

Um, you're so cool defying everyone's opinion?

  • @m1sterHANDS

Um, defying? I actualy have an opinion about the band, most people seem to have an opinion about me, and a remarkable ability to reel off other bands that sound the exact same as this band in a vain attempt to show how TOTALY LIKE IN TO MATH ROCK I AM TOALY! I tried to have a semse of humour about the ridiculous cliches this ban adhere to when presenting thier music as a completed package. Also i am cool, i have a super rare don caballero my little pony, DETROIT WHAT!

  • @MrStephenferguson

    Hey guess what:

No one cares, and no one's laughing with you.

  • @m1sterHANDS

Its funny, and no doubt true, but thats not actualy what I initialy guessed! I thought you were going to tell me that deep down you just wanted to cut hair. How wrong I was!

  • @MrStephenferguson

I just want to be an excevator of french postal workers.

  • @m1sterHANDS

Dont bother, they dig right in. Bloody French.

  • @MrStephenferguson I'd say salty would be a better fit.

  • I listen to hella music but rock isn't a genre i'm heavy on at all

    but this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
