It's hard to say. It could have started as far back as when Obama was a child, when his mother worked for USAID, the Ford Foundation, the World Bank, and other organizations in Indonesia. Her boss was Peter Geithner. Yes, Tim Geithner's father! Is this really just a coincidence, I doubt it!

@3martijns Blacks played a role in government during reconstruction because they were allowed to vote. They out numbered whites in the south and with the help of republicans and the military, they voted without being scared away. however, they were sold out by the republicans in 1877. You should know that. This is when the kkk became big. They suppressed voter rights because they took the troops out of the south. Thus ending reconstruction and..... no more blacks voting.

@3martijns that was during reconstruction. Do you know why they were elected to congress and do you know why the republicans gave up on the south at the end of reconstruction? Plus, I am a registered republican because I believe in trickle down econ. But i also believe in a public option.
