I just had time for a quick Magherita pizza in Naples... and the dough was incredible!!! It was the softest, most delicious I've ever tasted... definitely something special about it! Also it was only 1 euro for a pizza! 80 cents for trancio marinara. Check out Tavola Calda Rosticceria (Cafe Toraldo) just a couple of blocks from the station near the (under major development) Piazza Giuseppe Girabaldi.
My great great grandfather is from Naples!!!! I'm proud I at least got some blood from such a beatifiull place! Ha does anyone know a pierro? Cause that was his last name ha
I will make it a manditory goal to go to Italy someday and try the REAL deal pizza there, I always dream and think of living on a beautiful coastline near a beautiful little town there, just enjoying everyday life and the delicious food they offer. Afterall, I am like obseesed with pizza and good quality food in general, I don't know whether I should be a chef or a travel tourist someday :)
This is a True pizza. Pizza here in the US . is made with way way too much cheese. It is supposed to be made in a VERY hot brick oven, preferably coal burning, with a small amount of SLICED mozzerella, crushed tomatoes, basil, maybe just a hint of olive oil.,.No toppings like buffalo chicken ,cheese steak, pineapple, etc.
There is nothing like the flavor of a real Italian pizza. After eating pizza in Italy, my palette has forever been destroyed for any pizza here in the US. And that wood fire brick oven...I can almost TASTE the baked-in flavor!
I'm all for flavor,,,but I need C H E E S E !!!!! You would never make it in Pittsburgh Pa. I realize that profit is what it;s all about in your pizzas', but you need to have a turn-over to survive. These customers would NEVER come back for another. Sorry Brother,,,,I'm Just Sayin'!!!!
I live in New York city. My family also originated in Napoli. You can find some great pizza here. Twenty or thirty years ago you could find great pizza pretty much everywhere. But as time goes by, they are getting to be further and further in between.
Americans make pizzas one of the most unhealthy, highest in fat and cholesterol and sodium loaded fast food items of the 21st century. Yet, in Naples, Italy, the conventional way of making truly hearty and authentic Italian pizza is still to these days so simple and healthy.
...it might be the "birthplace of pizza"...however, don't assume that its good just because you're in Italy. I got a pizza in Naples once, what I remember most was the black olives still had the pits in them.
@aljazDrum margarita pizza its beyound delicious IF made correctly. If you get this from an actual pizzeria its amazing... u get it somerwhere like costco then ull wanna barf lol. I highly recommend making it yourself. Its easy takes roughly 30 mins, thats preparing and baking. My family originating from naples i have had the pleasure of growing up with this delicious authentic Italian food. yum yum
I LOVE pizza and other Italian foods. Always have & always will.

That's a pizza. A flat bread perfumed with a topping of tomato sauce and a few tasty ingredients. And the spoon of olive oil.
Not a thick greasy overcharged pie, called pizza by an unhappy accident of language. Too many ingredients are not better...
The same is happening with the sushis...

@TheSWTORMMO few new york pizzas are the neapolitan pizzas made by italian masters, so at least it's the same. But I don't think so

Question, how long does it take to get from Germany to Italy? I'm asking because i' going on a trip to Oktoberfest and i want to see Europe.
krisstopher07 8 months ago
@krisstopher07
Monaco to Milan > (Germany-Austria-Italy) there are optimal autobahn and autostrade (motorways),
you have to travel approximately for 8 hours.
Milan to Naples > It 's about the same time and motorways
I hope it's helpfull, ciao.

@CaliforniaTravelTips dude, if u are an american, dont go to italy for one day. go there for at least 3 weeks.
and please dont visit "europe" in one week as lots of americans do. if u really want to visit europe, ull need much more time.
