ya know mr. peek this video reminds me i got an exhaust leak to fix on my chevy truck, I got a broken manifold right where the pipe bolts up only thing is it's been broke nearly a year now, once you get on the throttle it sounds like an airplane with gas haha oh yeah the fumes can make one dizzy if they aint used to a broken exhaust haha
@blazerlover25 Yea, that's pretty common on a Chevy. Hard to keep 'em not leakin'. Broke manifold can be a pain. The tricky part is getting the bolts out without stripping the heads off 'em.
@rpeek FYI Yeah Walmart has them Douglas Tires Pretty Cheap. I got (2) 195/70R14 last month for 121$ it includes tax/disposal everything. They ride/grip nice so far.
You can take a hair dryer or an old space heater and heat the plastic bumper cover and that dent can be pushed out from behind pretty easily. It wont be perfect but will look a lot better than the big dent
i was thinking adding a second gas tank to my car i want it a automatic setup where it will automatically fill the main tank so when my gas gauge goes down i know my second tank is out any idea how to do this?
@Matthew55904 If you can find a place to mount the second tank, attach it with an unbroken copper line and put an electronic fuel pump in the line. That should do it. The reason for the unbroken line is that rubber often leaks after while and a leaky gas line is a sure'nuff fire trap..
@Matthew55904 No. The existing pump pumps from the existing tank to the engine. If it's fuel injected, it also could be part of the throttle control. If you want gas pumped from a seperate tank to the existing tank, you need a secondary pump.
thanks for doing this video for me im not good at cars extent of work i can do is battery and plugs not including wipers and fluids if i do have a leak is there something i can just plug it with rather than rip it apart and replace it?
@Matthew55904 Depends on how bad it is. They make this stuff called "ultra copper, high temp rtv silicone gasket maker" I've had some success with that, but it's not a permanent fix. It will sometimes work enough to get your car inspected or something like that, and like I said, it depends on where the leak is and how bad it is. If the pipe is rusted away, some people use a tin can and bailing wire to patch it up. All kind of fixes. Generally exhaust work isn't that much fun though.
RP, Let me guess , the tire store wanted 70 bucks a corner for those little donuts!! On another front , after having hondas for twenty years my unbreakable rule is , Always bring the old part, because the chimps behind the counter have NO CLUE!! trb
@trbfshmn The tire store wanted $350 for a set of 4 mounted. On ebay, delivered, $220. I can mount 'em myself, or get the local guy to do it and still save almost $100.. I decided to go that way.
my car is like that too. and looks like its in the same spot.. so could it just be the seal for the cat converter

@rpeek yea i fugured that but i was thinking getting a FlowMaster exhaust put on it how much do shops charge for the work?
Matthew55904 1 year ago
@Matthew55904 If your leak is somewhere along the pipe, and not at a connection, they have Muffler Wrap. It's like a thick, fabric made duct tape.
