i hear that holly is supposed to back at some point in the current season...i hope that her and michael ultimately get back together and stay together right before he leaves the show as a way to kind of end his run on the office with a happy ending...they were obviously meant to be with each other and they were awesome together in the short time we saw them together!

While I was sad to see her go, I think it was necessary for us to keep seeing the Michael Scott we all know and (hate to) love. As you could tell, her presence in the series started making him seem "normal" and change the things that made him Michael (one example: refraining from offering his timeless "that's what she said" when Holly was around).

Oh they know. Holly leaving = drama, holly staying = comedy. Leaving sucks but that's really how it goes sometimes. It was a very serious direction to take.
