  • hey when i remove the triggers(Lt and Rt) and the things down them, and i put it back they did not work no more and now i want a new controller

  • @Johgfn123 Cool story, bro. Also, nice grammar. ;)

  • @MightyCobraAttack thank you man i aprreciate that.

  • eny one know where theres a guide to taking off the plastic bit that the triggers click into cuz i cant get mine off

  • remove the triggers if you going to do this video

  • have you tryed the Grip-iT on the analogs? Give them a try. Check out the video. serch shopgripitcom. You need to try gripit

  • I woulda lol if you got shocked. xDDD

  • how do u get the battery bit off at the bak?

  • Regardless of what abunch of the tools posted a while back, this was EXTREMELY useful. Spilled a drink on the controller and the dpad was sticking and the left analogue was sticking. Took it apart, cleaned it, put it back together, and voila. Saved myself the cost of a new one.

    Useless? Not on my account!

  • Was wondering if it is possible to replace the part that is under the stick (cube/box shape) that is on the controllers board? One of mine is worn out causing the stick to not center itself when released. Also, the cord has a short in it. Can these be replaced? I do have donor controllers if these repairs can be done.

  • @7THONK7 from what I've heard, you have to de-solder it, replace it, then solder the new unit. i also ave this issue, because my right stick pulls down (doesnt respond).

I found you can buy the parts for like $5 (the box your talking about.)

  • @PCGamerKyle Thanks for the info! I've got enough dead controllers, solder & gun. Just need to get some of that solder wick material. Not sure what it is called but, it is used to attract the old solder that you are removing. The Source or Radio Shack would sell the stuff.

  • @7THONK7 Ok, cool! Let me know how it turns out please.

I only have one controller that is completely useless, but the sticks two of my others are really loose, and some games are really sensitive, so I'll be moving to the left without doing anything. Very annoying.

  • cool

  • I hated the bottom screws my security bit was too small -w- I had to carve the fuck out of it so I could fit it's fat ass in, now I can play with my controller's 2 holes =D

  • @dakkenly that sounded sexual at the end....

  • @leaderelrond All of it did

  • there are little pins in the middle of the screws that are in my controller ;o

  • thats why u need a security torx bit, because there's a hole in the screwdriver bit

  • Is the wired controller the same as the wireless? (I know there's a difference with the wire, but disassembling it).

  • actually my wired controller has philips screws (It DEFINATELY came with the system, from the shop, BRAND NEW sealed etc, And yes its same, using tape is such a great idea i never thought of before (smacking head) saving the absolutely tedious task, that takes longer than the actual assembly/disassembly

  • your my xbox hero now, thanks!

  • you should disassemble the parts from the pcb, too.

  • dude the fucking controller sucks

  • what screwdriver do you need to take apart a "wired" xbox 360 controller?

post a reply if you know please XD

  • Torx T8 Bit

  • how do i get the triggers off

  • Well who couldn't do that? Anyone can take shit apart. That's why bad neighborhoods have random stripped down cars in many yards. It's putting things together that is difficult. Sometimes that can be a bit tricky and stuff doesn't work quite the same.

  • hahahahahahahahahaha this is so funny ahahahahahahahahaahahhhahahahahahahahahahahbahahbahahabhashbhbabhabhsahbdhbdhbasdhsadhasdhbabd

  • Nooo, you shove it up the controller's ass!

  • what if you throwup on your xbox controller

  • Who throws up on their xbox controller

  • So wired doesnt come with Arcade setup now?

  • i think its pointless to open or really just to do anything to a wired controller

you just cant make them cool cuz the have a wire..

  • id rather have a wired than a wireless.

  • ok but ima try you up with your controller then strangle you with my wireless, bitch.

  • i dont have a wired. i have a wireles

  • ill still kill you bitch so shut up

  • I have some s controllers that fails completly i doesnt work at all, i think is some wire broken...did some one here repair some controller with this problem? some advice here? thx...

  • what type of screw driver or bit did u use to take out the screws?

  • i find it funny how yours doesnt have that hidden screw in the back like mine apperantly does

  • mine too.

  • The wired controller does have a secret screw, but this guy already took the sticker off so he doesn't have to in the vid. ; )

But ask me question's if it doesn't work, I already did it.

    greetz. Bob

  • What kinda screw driver do you use to take the screw out? It looks like torque screws, but they have like a little pin in the middle.

  • i did it with one without it just goes on the top and it works

  • its called a security torx bit. plus if you have a way of grinding a flat-bit screwdriver, you can use that, you have to grind it into an almost bent 'L' shape and just push really hard when unscewing to stop it slipping out

  • Or just grind down the piece in the middle of teh screw and use the star bit its for....

  • agree 100% but sometimes thats a lot easier said then done for inexperienced ppl, when there's about 8 screws ;)

  • My left analog stick is a bit stiff when it comes to moving it around. Could taking the controller apart allow me to fix this or should I just buy one from BestBuy and swap mine in the box and return it?

  • id take it apart. If you return, they will know its not new

  • you would be suprised

ive took a completly differnet item back in the box and managed to get a refund

they even opened the box to look

  • wtf a wired?

  • comes with the xbox 360 core.. the crappiest xbox they dont even make anymore.

  • ok ... problem ... the safty pins they have in the middle of the srews that you use as leverage broke off and i tryied all four sets of alan-wrenches ... and still cant get the screw out ... any idea's ... send me a message please.

  • I cant get any screws out with any of my screwdrivers and i have a ton of sizes. Im just trying to use flatheads or phillips, i dont know where to find the star shaped tool with a hole in the middle to unscrew these. Any one know what i should do? Pls msg or comment back, thanks.

  • what you need is a torx t8 screw driver and it needs to have a little hole in the middle

  • yea dude the screws are all fucked up n shitty

  • What size screwdriver? I can't get the top two.

  • i got a better way...take a hammer...and boom u got a disassembled xbox 360 controller

*WARNING* u wont be able to use it ever agen

  • aw man i didnt read the warnin part

  • i did

  • philips numbe rone my ass....its a T8 torx security bit but a Regular T9 non security works ojk too just takes more time

  • It is a phillips on the corded controller. It is the torx on the wireless

  • Well on this video, it's right but I used a phillips on the wireless and it worked.

  • what do i do if im trying to mod my controller but i dont have a resistor

  • get a resistor ( DuH ) please use ur brain lol

  • damn Xbox360 controller is rich they use brushless moror for the rumble set

  • it's called the vibrator, not the rumble set. let's got bring in nintendo terms

  • it's "not" not "got" lets not make spelling mistakes

  • thx for correcting me

  • np, thx for correcting him

  • If you go in your sheds/garages you will find T8 attachments well most people will they come with most screwdrives that are chanagble at the head

  • what kind of store could i go to get the bit i need to take apart the controller

ive been told its a torx 8 security bit some one plz tell me where i could ge it

  • Sears is your best bet, everywhere else you need to buy a set just to get that single bit.

  • Does anyone know how to unkink the wires inside the cord? The part closest to the controller is where the problem is.

  • Incorrect, wireless controllers use a T8 security but the wired controller uses a phillips as described.

  • TruDat

  • where can u get one of those?

  • how do you take out the triggers?

  • what if were not poor and have wireless controllers???lol jk

  • I know you were just joking but the point of having a wired controller for most people is not having to worry about there controller disconnecting during halo 3 :D and it is a little bit faster not enough to notice. They are lighter and essayer to mod.

  • @Patchy321 wireless sux balls :) wired is more responsive

  • @Damptarmac not really, i have both and the response is the same

  • *cough* ghetto cord *cough*

  • good luck getting that back together

  • I got my xbox recently and controllers vibrator on the right side seems not to work, it vibrates on the leftside only is it corrupted? Its under warranty can i expect it to be replaced thank you

  • I HIGHLY doubt this guy works for MS. This isn't a tech support site, it's Youtube. Google your question.

  • i was asking you guys not this dude... anyways i have my answer

  • now wut kunt bag

  • now what?

  • Why?

  • wait did you not use a torx bit?

any ideas on where to get one or any ideas how to remove the screwa without it

  • i need help with the inside of my controller...when ever i press the "y" button it slowly comes back up...its very hard to switch weopons on rainbow six2 and halo 3 when its doing that

  • when you take it apart, take out all of the buttons and take a moist quetip and wipe the tube that the Y button sits in with it and also wipe the Y button itself to get all of the stickiness off and it should work fine after that :)

  • how you take it apart if the took i have dobnt have the stupid lil pin hole thing where the pic in in the middle of the screw thingy?

  • lol bet u coudnt put it bk to gether

  • omg thats hard to put a FREAKIN SCREW DRIVER IN A SCREW asshole

  • what was the point off this?? anyone knows how to take a controller apart. if your gonna make a video make it usefull like putting it back together.

  • so thats what an xbox 360 controller looks like inside

  • if u guys dont need to know this then y watch?

  • why does any1 want to know this?

  • y do i need this?

  • where do you get the screwdriver. please click reply so i know when someone has an answer ;)

  • you can find them at home depot or lowes they r torx9 or 10 (thats t9 t10) or from llamaDOTcom

  • thanks alot ;)

  • hes fast as hell with that screw driver im teling yea he sohuld be on americas most amazing videos lol

  • Dude, he used a movie editing program to speed it up, trust me, he isn't that fast. If he is, that's jus scary! Lol

  • Well that was a waste.

  • I wish this vid had sound.

  • i hope u cant put tht back together!

  • lol ive never seen the inside of an xb0x 36o controler

  • u unscrue fast!!!

  • looooooooooooooooool

  • WTF????

  • wot a waste

  • what was point of thet

  • step 1: throw controler in fire.

    Your done

  • lmao

  • That's pretty neat how you can take that apart. I've tried it once before.

  • it looks like a gameboy advance when taken apart

  • it is hard as hell to unscrew the freakin screws. wtf??

  • wow u can hack ur controller

  • why?......

  • now... put it back together

  • pointless***

  • poitless

  • Anyone do this? I want to give mine a really good cleaning is it easy enough to not loose parts?

  • No there are very few parts just take it apart clamly and u should be good

  • yes there are a few parts. but not near as hard as a regular xbox controller. but yeah its easy. just need to keep the buttons in place and your good to go :)

  • he can unscrew fast

  • ur fast at unscrewing lol

  • why would you disassemble it?

  • cus he wants to....

  • to mod it

  • to clean it

  • I just did this with a black(elite)wireless controller and a standard white wireless controller.I took of the face button side and mixed them together. And now I've got 2 black aand white controllers.Thx forthe help

  • u gay rod wdf wus da hole piont of that

  • what about the wireless controller plz???

  • and there goes ur warranty XD!

  • idiot messing up tht controllia

  • so u gonna play like that ?

  • dang hes fast at unscrewing screws!

  • are you dumb or what?!

  • mod it for all u halo fans. put paper on the trigger sensor to double shot easier

  • I think Andy meant "grammar" as opposed to "grammer" :)

  • why? :(

  • why even do that

  • You should try to use it when it is like that, I'm actually interested to hear what happens.

  • omfg, why do u do this ??

  • Gosh, I hate it when people say that disambeling something was so useless. First of all, it is not useless. Some people, such as me, are curiouis about the interiors of equipment. And second, people need to be more respectable. If someone has nothing nice to say, they shouldn't say it. Besides, more than half the people who bash on vids like this have no videos themselves, so they have no right to talk until they have gone throught the effort of making their own vid.

  • you forgot to mention that disassembly allows people to mod. Also thought I'd point out that you said "disambeling" instead of "Disassembling", and you used "respectable" in the wrong context, it should have said "respectful"

  • lol, true. thanks for pointng out my errors(in a respectful way). I will work on my grammer.

  • haha no prob, thanx for not taking it the wrong way...most people think I'm trying to be condescending

  • the only people who make an effort to call other people nerds over youtube are the ones with too much time. :\

  • try 2 play halo 3 with that controler

  • when I put my 360 controller on my PC the light wont cut on unless i Move it Around A little When I say the light wont CUT on I mean it wont work WHY

If any one knows how to fix this problem Please tell me

  • if it aint broke dont fix it!!

  • if it aint broke mod it,if it is broke mod it

  • well first off i dont know about you guys but my controller cant be dissasembled with a phillips head screw driver its in the shape of a star and has a peg in the middle also the only reason to take apart your controller would be to install lights or paint it and none of those things help you win a game so no point in it

  • dude... thats retarded why would u do that??

  • what the fuck was the point of this stupid shit

  • Cool now put IT BACK TOGETHER!

  • lol
