Yeah staying up to go to sleep when you want to can be rough, I've done it many times. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It can be kinda fun because you can't do a lot of the things you usually do, yet you have to fill the time -- a good time to watch movies you've been meaning to see.

I'm not sure what was the longest I stayed up -- one time I was up a long time and I started hearing things, just small things out "from the corner of the room" while I was focused on something else.
