When I bought my 2003 re-release from Toy's r Us, mine was in the original japanese box, also the missle is not as long as the american release( I'm assuming they made the missle smaller for the american release for kid safety ) and its chrome, my question is, did Hasbro aquired extra japanese re-release cuz we sold out all the american re-releases?

Getting this myself...you wondered why the little ffigure was Ginrai and the cab was also Ginrai, it is because the cab and the trailer are Transectors, robotic components with no mind or personality, so they are named after their godmasters (the engine guys)..and in the last episode, the transectors develop their own wills and personalities based on their Godmaster counterparts and become sentient Transformers ( Masterforce was the series for anyone interested)...it is really good

Dunno. The very back trailer (Apex Bomber) wasn't actually included with the original version.

Turnip king is right. The Apex bomber part originated in japan when the figure was brought there. Untill Toys R us re-released it it had never been sold in the states.

Nope. The main trailer is held on by a round peg in a round hole, the rear trailer has a T on the end of a handle (think a little red wagon) that the ends of the t's slip into holes on the back of the main trailer.

Well kinda... They are little aliens (acording to G1) or humans (acording to master force) that ear suits that alow them to bond with the transformers. diference is that where a minicon only powers up a transformer (unless you are armada Sideways, or Overlaod that is) a powermaster, or a headmaster is actually bonded to the robot more like a symbiote, the robot can not function without his partner attached except in their Alt mode.

Hi-Q is 100% Powermaster.

What is interesting is they had originaly planned for this prime to have all three: a Power master, a headmaster, and a targetmaster. Oh and he was also suposed to be a tripplechanger... I am not making this up. on one hand, that would be serisouly ambitious. on the other hand... that woudl be WAY to ambitious for 1987.

Well, Powermaster prime never apeared in the US show. he was in the into to some shows talking to a little anoying kid giving moral and what not... In the Japanese show Genrai (Hi-Q) was the character, when he joined it was kind of like the Plugsuit in Evangelion he "became" Optimus Prime and the truck was a living extension of him.

outside of being bonded with the truck he was also a human in a transformers cartoon and therefor automaticly anoying ;)

Ugh. I got this guy from Toys R Us a few years ago when I was in fifth grade, and I completely DESPISE him. NO articulation, crappy stickers and few details, pathetic excuse for a second trailer, and a base mode that looks nothing like a base (or anything for that matter) make this my most despised figure in my entire collection. The tall guy the second trailer transforms into sucks, and there's absolutely no play value or poseability in any of the robot modes. Sorry if I offended, I hate this!!
