@copperpenni Cuz it's not poppin or lockin. Tickin, boppin, bottin maybe, but not poppin. Look at Flat Top's videos, or Tick-a-Lot, or Boppin Andre. Then go look at Mr. Animation, a well known popper. Then come back and look at this and see which styles match up.

I'm not saying you can't combine several different styles in one set though. I mainly differentiate when talking to people like copperpenni who don't know shit about West Coast dance styles. People make up new dances every day and unknowingly name them after existing dances. Then dumbfucks come along and wanna argue about the name of someone else's dance style.

Popping came out of botting and in turn it itself is a style, but it is still under popping. You dime stop when botting and dime stopping is part of popping. So yes, boppin' and botting are part of popping.

I'd consider Tickin Tony more of a bopper seeing that boppin is his biggest strength. I suck at lockin, but I can throw in a little here and there, but I'm by no means a locker. Not sayin Tony sucks at poppin, only sayin that just because you do a certain move or mix in a style doesn't classify you as somethin. Gotta look at overall expression.
