I am so glad to find this, I am about to watch it from the start, I have a 20B I am unsing for my aircraft project and this will be so very helpful thanks for posting it
Hey Aaroncake, found your vids when I was researching undercoating for my 70 Triumph TR6, watched #18. Now I'm circling back to start from the beginning. Cool vids, thanks for posting all the detail.
@axm203 Haha, thanks. :-) I was concerned with stinging or biting insects, which I should have mentioned in the video. It really ruins your day when you reach into some dark are of the engine bay and shove your hand into a sleeping wasp nest. Or you happen to find a Brown Recluse under a leaf. Black Widows are also common in my area and are...unpleasant.
Finally Aaron! Actually looks like a decent interior, which means less time with that, more time on important stuff. I have yet to see an engine being taken out or being put in on video. This will be a cool series of videos.
@yerboogieman For the condition of the car, the interior is OK. The dash will need to be recovered and every piece of trim resprayed. I'll need to recover the seats and replace the carpet...Hmm, maybe it's not so OK. I'm hoping to start editing the engine removal video tonight.
w00t! Nice to see this thing finally going somewhere, haha. I look forward to seeing more videos of you doing stuff to the car, I was thoroughly entertained. Hopefully we'll get to see some of your fabrication skillz in action.
@mazdarx7head Tina is for the most part done at the moment. If I get some time I will make some more dyno pulls this year but until I make a decision as to what I am doing with the body (leave it stock, or not) the car is "done".
@MN12BIRD 70K on the clock. The underside is beautiful. Even better, I just took apart the engine and it is perhaps the best condition used rotary I have ever seen. I'd consider the housings and irons to qualify as having less then 1000 miles on them.
@Grappler130 Oddly yes. There are a few pieces where I have duplicates. I have 2 sunroofs, 4 door panels, and doubles of some interior trim. Considering how rare these cars are in North America, I find it shocking that the original owner had more then one to take apart. I'd really like to find out the story behind the car, and why it was left in the state that it was in with only 70K on the odometer.
@oldsoulyoungbody Ah, come on! Picture this thing in deep metallic blue, slammed on air, tucking 18s with just a sliver of tire. No one makes an air suspension for a '76 Cosmo, so I'm going to have to call up Air Ride with measurements and then fabricate the rest. But the bolt patter is going to make finding wheels a bit hard.

@fcguy7 They're just an old pair of shorts I use in the shop. I'm from the '80s.

Dude13450 8 months ago
@Dude13450 I paid scrap value for it. At the time, around $500 and they delivered it to my storage area.
