  • Ainoa syy, jonka takia katsoin Suspirian on sen kuuluisin tappokohtaus, jossa ruumis putoaa kattoikkunasta, sillä Clock Toweriin oli otettu siitä vaikutteita yhteen tappokohtaukseen.

Ja kun katsoin sen, rakastuin ensi silmäyksellä! Parempaa leffaa saa etsiä <3

  • perfect theme for a witch! dark, dangerous, mysterious...but also very sexual and obscene at the same time!

  • To be honest this is absolutely perfect to fit with a coven of witches in a dance school. I actually think this theme is just as good as the orginal haloween score

  • fucking creepiest horror movie ever!! and music too! when the whistle part comes on....i cant listen...its just wayyy creepy...oh and your right the first murder scene is just nuts! great special effects for the time...there may be better effects and quality today but this cult classic will always beat new movies!!!!!!!!!! always!!

  • I recently watched this for the first time ever, and let me say this peice really had my blood running even more than halloween. Such great mood and atmosphere in this cult classic

  • 0.38 Mellotron choir and bass synth.... oooh oooooh OOOOOOOH ...shivers...

  • @derekhorror84 Pineapple Express?? Hell no!

  • @derekhorror84 That...that sounds Horrible!!

  • This music should be played any satanic orgy, actually if your into scat play or any other kind of extreme fetish e.g. S&M - this music should be the soundtrack!

  • I think the music is the only thing who make scared. Without it, the movie is only a gore show without any interest.

  • For me one of the finest pieces of horror film music ever written.

  • 0:41 BAWHHWHHWH! Synth score sounds fucking awesome kinda made me jump!

  • This soundtrack is wonderful! I especially love this song.

  • this is a very colorful version of snow white and the seven dwarfs

  • Around Halloweentime, I like to play this music at bloodshot volume in my car at stop lights. I've gotten mixed responses from neighboring motorists, but always interesting ones.

  • I work in a box office at a playhouse/theater. Right now there's no one here, the main lights are out and I'll be honest; this is actually freaking me out. It's take A LOT to creep me out, but somehow Goblin always manages to do it. That's the power of wonderful musical scoring right there, my friends.

  • the soundtrack's amazing!!! This actually scared me!

  • don't even think about remake this film!!!!!

  • WITCH! WITCH!...brrr...I'm scared!!..

  • nemo spoofed the chant hahahahha

  • @frankie3455 I know right.

  • Why are they remaking this?! This is a masterpiece that shouldn't be touched! What I also don't get is how Mr.Argento is remaking his own DEEP RED in 3D.

  • @xSemeteryx

Waaaaaiit, WHAT !? Elaborate on this, please.

  • @samyullhorton Well he was going to remake it in 3D but since Giallo failed he thought a potential remake would and now hes off working on another movie. *Sighs* close call!

  • I was the Assistant Manager at the Criterion 44thSt. NYC when we had the USA premiere of SUSPIRIA. Dario Argento stopped by, even. *Eat Your Hearts Out, Bitches*.

  • shit! at first i jumped a bit cause my speakers weren't that loud and then i read the comments and tried it agian. the second the speakers were at the loudest and i was waiting for the giant tap and boom! i jumped out of my chair!

  • if they played the original movie of Suspiria in the theaters i'd be the first at the door.

  • Dear God, why are they remaking this movie? Argento is the only one talented enough to create such a masterpiece!

  • Suspiria being remade. A right fucking nightmare that is. They can't leave the classics alone. Not surprising given that the bottomless chum bucket that is hollyowod is bereft of ideas.

  • @the215renaissanceman agreed the guys who did Pineapple Express are supposed to remake it. =/ Stupidly enough, I will see it. Mainly out of curiosity of how badly it will be butchered.

  • Are you serious I didnt know this was being remade till just now and yeah I agree it will suck if they do remake it

  • what tap? OH JESUS!!!

  • fuck i had my speakers up loud and that loud ass tap at the start scared the fuck out of me

  • I read your comment, expected the loud tap, and STILL jumped.

  • very violent theme.

  • I remember the first time I watched Suspiria. When this music came on during the opening scene, I was scared out of my wits!

  • Wow, I read the comments about the scary tapping; and I said to myself 'okay, i'm not going to jump'. Then suddenly, *yeegads* there goes the tap and i'm jolted.

  • dies that first tapping thing in the beginning of the song make anybody else jump out of their skin???!!!!!!

  • whoops does*

  • I was reading your comment when the first tap happened, nearly jumped outta my skin!

  • @XvDarkArcanavX : lol, same hapeened wid me too...

  • I DO!!!

  • GREAT MOVIE! GO GOBLIN!

  • me gusta ese tema.

  • sexy

  • I put this on high volume, that makes my neighbors nervous

  • Be careful, they might report you, lol!

  • Holy shit, they're going to make a remake of this classic. Not sure should i be happy or angry? :|

  • Well not happy at least. But I won't care whether it will suck or not. They can ruin my favorite films all they want as long as I can own the original.

  • Nicely put, what then is the next step Deep Red? God no... :(

  • Or maybe a remake of Fulci's films. Even the idea of such a thing just makes me die inside.

  • @Joorum they never do any justice to the timeless horror classics, why don't they come up with their own ideas? and suspiria of all they could have chose, they won't be able to do what argento did in a million tries, that's for fact.

  • Without Goblin and Argento's colorful visuals, it probably will be shit. Dont. Remake. Cult. Movies.

  • A remake of Cannibal Holocaust is in development hell, let's wish it never comes out.

  • @damoc9 even if it's good i'll stil be sad, leave the classic alone. plus no one will be able to get the music, colors, and timing right the way argento did.

  • hahahahaha, i can hear the witch chant in the soundtrack which was also used in finding nemo during neom's initiation

  • Jesus Christ i shat a cathedral.

  • I looked over both my shoulders listening to this...

  • Keep doing that. You can never be too sure when someone might come to your house. You have to be ready at all times. They're out there!!! =)

  • is just so supernaturally creepy! really great....

by the way, i didn't know this part was spoofed in "Finding Nemo"!

  • Once You've Heard The Album

You Will Never Again Feel Safe In The Dark

  • this kind of music sounds like it could be played in a rape scene, much less a murder scene!

  • Yeah, now that you mentioned it, it kinda does. Sounds very disturbing. A very long death scene or a rape scene would be its matching pair.

  • an interracial rape scene

  • And it must involve some kind of perverted ritual.

  • I'm listening to Sights, Markos and Witch at the same time. I'm scared as hell.

Try it, with volume up to eleven!

  • The drums of Witch actually go pretty well with Sighs. Not so much with Markos.

  • Well, i think Sights and Witch are much like sisters because both mix dissonant notes, evil whispering voices, percussion crashes.

Markos is 'proger' and not like these two ghost-type songs...

  • I agree.

  • Also Jessica Harper is beautiful!

Perfect for her role. Do you know Dario wanted to make the TANZAKADEMIE for girls only until 12 years old? But his father (producer) didn't like the idea (too brutal), so they changed the age of actress but not the screenplay, thus some childish dialogues (Suzy! Sarah! Names that start with S, like Serpent!, or something like that) were keeped.

  • I knew. Argento has had a habit of losing his mind sometimes during pre-production and scripting. A nice idea but totally impossible to create. An artist's creativity has no limits but a finished product has. Especially if it's a film.

  • I'd like to see a version with girls instead of women. It may be very brutal, but i'd like to see if it would have a bigger impact on me or if i'd love Suspiria that way as much as i do the final version, or more...

  • There's a brass section that reminds me TOCCATA by Emerson, Lake & Palmer..

  • Another thing: the first time i watched SUSPIRIA alone in the dark and i heard this song i though: 'Shit! I'm already scared!'

And i think Suspiria's 98minutes were the best minutes i spent watching a horror film...

  • It's fun to watch. You have to isolate yourself from the rest of the world in order to get the full experience.

  • Damn right! And what an experience!

Shivers, fear, repulsion are some of the feelings i had watching Sus, unaware of the plot/story. I saw the trailer on youtube then saw the DVD on a newspeper stand shelf I bought it, of course. The same night i watched. The same night my senses changed...

  • It's best to be unfamiliar with all that is associated with the film. Then it's really disturbing. John Carpenter has said that even the opening airport scene made him nervous. Now that's something!

  • I know Keith Emerson worked on Inferno's soundtrack and I believe he may have sat in on Suspiria's soundtrack recording as well. Maybe someone else can confirm that.

But that would make sense about what you said reffering to the brass section and all.

  • Tocatta (T) that remends me Witch (W):

    0:17-0:19 T 0:15-0:27 W

    3:37-3:51 T 0:15-0:27 W

  • He is not credited for any participation in Suspiria. I can't confirm that.

  • How great picture. thanks. Is this movie's poster ? I've never seen this before. Jessica Harper is very cool. this picture will become Suspiria's another imagination. and of course music take is wonderful.

  • Ah, yes. I think this is the European DVD cover. At least we have this in Finland where I live in. All of Argento's movies have a similar giallo DVD cover layout here.

A nearby video store has almost an entire shelf of Argento films. It's got its own section there. There's horror and then there's Dario horror :)
