@Rambo29 Jeff Shroeder. He used to be in an awesome band way back called the Lassie Foundations, as well as others. He's more than proved himself tobe a great fit for the band :p
If you are one of the very lucky people to be at this show, you need to punched in the f-ing face. A kickass S.P. song playing and all of you dumbasses are just standing there like you are at a funeral. If anybody knows anyone that was at this show, you need to punch that dumbass square in the face for Billy. People of NYC, what the hell!!
First of all, amazing video, thanks for uploading it. This just shows that BC hasn't lost anything over the years. I love that his music has gone a different direction. I hate when bands try to recreate a record, they are the ones that die out. Keep it up Billy, your true fans love your creativity and the originality you bring to your music.
@mappyskf Unfortunately, there is no studio version as of yet. Almost a year ago there was an image that surfaced via Rolling Stone that had a white board with about 60 songs on it for TBK. This was on the board. I REALLY REALLY hope he goes through with it. But if you know Billy Corgan, you know that he can change his mind about it at any second with any reason whatsoever. Just keep an eye peeled at the SP official website. A new song was just release and there will be another next month. FREE!
this has the intenseness of Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness, the darkness of Adore, the heavy metal sound of Machina: The Machines Of God, and the feeling of impending doom of Zeitgeist, I love it.
This song holds the power of Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness. When all is said and done I think The Smashing Pumpkins in all it's band members past and present will be remembered as the greatest Alternative Rock Band ever and will be the stander of greatness for rock.
his new "smashing pumpkins" is self indulgent and uninteresting. I read a quote where he was angrily calling out all the "jerkos" that only wanna hear Siamese Dream, and while it CAN be a bit frustrating for fans to be stuck back in the 90's, its mainly because his new output is fucking uninteresting and terrible.
@msevrens I agree. Billy has even said, that was the musical style the pumpkins would have been playing at that point anyway. D'arcy and James were gone. You had 50% of SP in Zwan anyway.
amazing, they kill this song. I think Jeff should take the first solo, then there is the double solo, then Billy should take the last solo instead of Jeff.
@tjoh2009 Agreed, it seems like the Smashing Pumpkins formula to do that, but Jeff is a pretty badass guitarist and I think he should have some more of the limelight, which is clearly the case with this performance
@fips30537 I recorded it myself from the live stream. I'm going to make a DVD out of it, which I'll upload to ZOMB so everyone can DL it for free. Sometime next week I'll be doing that, so stay tuned.
@fips30537 They are reshowing this tonight, so that's when I'm re-recording it. I didn't get BWBW or US, so that's why I have to record it again. Expect the DVD to be done by Wednesday. Maybe Thursday. I'm a little busy this week.
I wish they would record this in the studio. At least there are SBD's of it from the 2008 shows. Don't get all soft on me now Billy, lol.
