Bella wasn't constantly insecure with Jacob like she is with Edward. The author also says often how Jacob was like the sun to Bella. I think that she more herself and at ease when she is with Jacob. When she is with Edward she doubts herself and has less confidence. I think Jacob would have been a healthier choice but the author had other ideas about her characters....lol...oh well :)
