I knew the Mariners were gonna trade players for a new roster in 2011, but I did not for a second think we would not have Dave there...I got a lump in my throat the size of a baseball. We still have Rick-
YOU WERE MY BEST FRIEND MY ENTIRE LIFE GROWING UP & YOU NEVER KNEW IT. YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE, NEVER LET ME DOWN, YOU WERE THE MOST RELIABLE. YOU WERE EVERYTHING TO ME. THANK YOU DAVE! MY OH MY!!
So sad he is gone. His voice signaled summer to me. I would turn on the radio the frist day of spring training just to hear his voice again and be relieved knowing the long winter had ended. It will not be the same with me not able to do that this March.
my oh my....I dont think I will ever listen to a losing team lose like I did with Dave! I am going to miss your calls soooo much. More than I missed Griffey.
Dave Niehaus, one of the best announcers in the buisness. Also, my family's driven through Ellensburg and i've listened to KXLE before; although i've been through there in December so i've heard a few NFL games on that station(BTW I live in Tacoma, Washington).
a legend, voice gives me chills, and like his experience as a young boy listening to the games on the radio, i jump up a few inches everytime he makes an incredible call
Chills...
