I feel bad for Elena. She is the only human among her friends. I think she's going to start to get fed up with always having to be protected and being a burden. so she'll try to become a vampire. then everyone will try to stop her but it ends up happening anyway. then season 4 will be about her dealing with being a vampire. honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at a tragic ending for this series where basically EVERYONE dies...... except Matt. cuz he's human and not really a main character.

The guy on there I didn't picture being her Dad.. I was looking for more of a Hey girl Hey!!.. Bonnie is back.. Caroline is my favorite beside Bonnie.. Bonnie my girl..

I kind of feel that Delena is getting old before they even get started. Ｉwant Elena to try to lead a normal life for once and date a human guy. She is all kind of suicidal and crazy now; I don't get why she needs a vampire? Judging from her tastes, she can always find a perfect date from a prison, there are plenty of mass murders and criminals to choose from and they are all human! Plus if she wants to have babies with those big -bad daddies, she can!

I'm enjoying this story line also, and I like how they are finally showing Elena reacting to Damon. She is showing her attraction to him in small ways, which was missing for so long.

Stefan is consciously murdering tons of innocent people. Being who Elena is, she would not accept that is something ok and move on from that. I don't comprehend why the writers are pushing that. Yes Elena is self sacrificing for loved ones but she is not oblivious. Also, the books have nothing to do with this show... Bonnie wasn't even black in the books. They changed almost everything from the books for the better. The books weren't that good...

I am almost positive that Klaus was running from Papa Original and the guy at the end asking Stefan if he had seen Klaus and Rebekah is him.

What about the info that we have now that the Originals are in Chicago? Before we didn't know where they were. Elijah is in Chicago, right? Because I remember Klaus saying in the season finale to the guard to store him with the others. So I would think if someone found one Original, we could get all of them.

NOT all the witches are black - Klaus had a white male witch, 'member? Most witches are black in VD 'cus & this is a guess, they came from Africa & its something that is in their blood & heritage. Bonnie's witch ancestors like Emily were servants and slaves and slaves came from Africa to the Americas, where magic is practiced. Thats why most witches are black. Also the magic only appears in some of the descendants - Bonnie's mother wasn't a witch. But like I said, just a guess. ;~))

They keep destroying Stefan/Elena. First, she is the copy of Katherine and he is interested only in her looks, and he stalks her for months, now with this necklace, of Rebekah..I mean, their story seems like a big rebound to me. Damon loves and cares about Elena, Delena never was about his past love life. Elena is the one. But I don't want her to be with Damon because he is there. Damon has to be the first choice for once in his life. Elena please don't play with him. Klaus/Stefan are epic

@xChloeKenyon I think it might be one of the brothers. There was just something that is said by Klaus " I have forgotten what its like to have a brother". It may be in reference to who is after him but also explains why Elijah isn't their. I'm wondering why Elijah didn't mention why Klaus wanted an army to take the mystery guy out. Where was Elijah in this episode and where was Rebecca in 1492 anyway? Motives are starting to blur.

@bloodyheart12691 Klaus said he killed his family meaning he took out anyone who could get in his way. Elijah hated Klaus because he thought he killed their siblings. Rebecca might have realized she was going to be killed and helping Klaus was her only other option . Klaus uses anyone who can help benefit his plan.Stefan is now his partner and Klaus needed to "remind" him they were friends years ago. Rebecca is their to help Stefan remember who he used to be.

@Brebrele723 Rebecca said klaus had killed "most" of the family implying another original is out thier and i would bet they wernt talking about elijah because in season two klause didnt seem to think he was a threat. Elijah was to easily fooled and is now dead again. Ever think that maybe its not another original that is after him but maybe werewolf? We dont know much about werewolves yet and if its possible for them to stop aging as well. If they do age then there are always witches.

People keep commenting that Elena reminds them of Bella. The storyline is similar in the fact that the boyfriends leave them but in Bellas case she gets her vampire boyfriend back and Elena just gets her heart broken and its about time. Almost every character has been heart broken except her. Bonnie, Caroline, Matt, Jeremy, Alaric , Damon and even dear old Katherine.

In the books, Bonnie is a pale little red head girl who is very weak and scared by the littlest things. She isnt calles a witch in the books she is referred to as a psychic. There is only on other psychic in the books and i am pretty sure that it is in the 2nd or 3rd and she is the ghost of honoria fell and helps bonnie with her powers. Bonnie doesnt have any powers or spells that she uses in the books but she is posessed by things and gives messages to the group and cant remember when she is p

At the end there was a sign or something that said Chicago when Katherine was walking out of the phone booth. Soo apparently they're all in the same place but don't know it. Hmm. And btw I love Caroline & Tyler together <3 Plus I wish Elena would stop going after Stefan & just be with Damon already! :/ But overall the season is starting out great!

Thank you! I loved that Stefan was harsh with Elena and laid everything on the table. She is in complete and utter denial. In some regards, Stefan is worse than Damon when he's off the rails. Its like she won't get that Stefan has killed hundreds of people and LOVED to relive each kill. Elena reminded me of Bella (Twilight) in this episode and that's not a good thing. She made her whole life about this 1 vampire and she excuses his flaws because she loves him. I wanted to slap Elena.

I think ultimately the real competition for Elena in the Stefan department is Katherine. There's clear history with him and Rebecca, but I think Stefan's heart really and truly can only be claimed by Elena and Katherine.

I remember in one of the first episodes where we see Katherine, Stephan asks where she has been all this time and she says "following you.. I saw you in Chicago, in the 20's." She must had seen Stephan palling around with Klaus.

Last night's episode really did feel like True Blood meets Boardwalk Empire. It was like an EPIC, FUN, ENGROSSING movie that just so happened to include my Delena & Forwood. That's how awesome it was! It could have been the Klaus, Stefan & Rebecca show & I still would have LOVED it. Everything about it, but especially the 20's, was just SO enjoyable!

I LOVED Caroline's arc in this episode, FINALLY Sheffir Forbes steps up she was AMAZING and Forwood OMG they were so adorable and sweet I cannot wait to see how their relationship goes!

The dynamic between Klaus, Rebeca and Stefan in the 20s was so charismatic!

Really agree with Kristen! It's really fleshing out. So much potential, the door just opened for so much to happen. I love that about this show. Shouldn't doubt Kev & Julie! haha I really don't want Elena with Damon. I don't like him at all since S1. It would seem too unnatural and forced. I would not mind seeing her with Matt (or a normal guy). Stefan has been really amazing. I hope E/S can work it out, in the end. I am really excited that Katherine and Bonnie and Now Rebecca are coming in!!

It's my personal belief that the show is trying to make some heavy comparisons to witchcraft and slavery. Think about it. Not only are the witches all black but they always seem to be indebted to the vampires somehow, enslaved, or working for/with them. Hmmmm.

To answer your question- the books and the show are HUGELY different. There is only one witch in the books, Bonnie, and she's white and a redhead. All the witches being black is a show TVD thing but it's an interesting question to ask JP and KW if you guys ever interview them cause A LOT of people as the same thing!
