Its a shame that Dan Marsala is awful live, unfortunately they can't just get a new singer. This song is so good in the studio but he doesn't seem to realise that this song is so tight is because on the album the singing is brilliant. The screaming on the studio version is clearly not the main reason why people like the song and it probably would be better without. But Dan pays more attention to the screaming than singing, also jumping arround isn't going to make you sound better live.

That clearly makes no sense, you are going to see a band play music..not because they look good live. When I saw Slayer at Reading Festival for example they got into it and were headbanging ect and were good to look at but they were out of time on all their songs. Are you trying to tell me that their performance was good? And how is jumping around brilliant if it hinders the singing and actually makes the song sound worse, its a completely contrediction to say it makes the performance better.

Yeah, a live show is both visual and audio. The lights, 'choreography', and the musicians getting into their music are all part of the show. You're right though, they shouldn't sacrifice sound for a lot of that stuff, but if it was just to play music, why can't we just sit at home and listen to the album?

I saw SOTY live a couple years ago, and I was AMAZED at how flawless the songs were with all of the jumping around. Sure, it might get off, but you have to take into consideration of the moment and that the fans there are not only there to hear great music, but to have a good time. When you're jumping and headbanging, it makes it all the better. On Dan's part, he's gotten a lot better with his control. They were still pretty young as a band yet.
