  • Wear special suites even if it is just a training.

  • 0:31 HotDog

  • Ok, so the fuel man gets covered in fuel, and just stands there. I'd have thought it a better idea to let everyone know that fuel was torrenting over the hot brakes, and that it might be a good time to be somewhere else! Jeeze!

  • I enjoy not being on fire.

  • Those guys rolling around were drama-queens...probably looking for an insurance payoff for 'emotional-suffering'...

  • Good thing he stopped, dropped and rolled to assist getting the fire out on himself. His training kicked in instead of panicking. That was scary, glad everyone was ok.

  • now that is why formula 1 pit crews wear full fire proof suits and helmets

  • LMAO at the guy in green.

  • Looks like FD4!

  • In germany is that not possible !

  • Is it just the video, or did it sound like the driver was stupid enough to accelerate after it caught on fire?

  • Was the driver okay? It didn't seem as though he got out.

  • the car falls off the jack. then the car burst into flames. typical nascar fucktard pit crew. i think i am the only american that thinks nascar is the most stupid ass backwards sport on the planet. nascar in the 60's now that was a sport. nascar today is a joke.

  • 0:52 should go to the olympic games :D

  • dude, don't put videos of people burning alive screaming

  • @storm24awesome this is not bad well ok it is bad but never watch the Roger Williamson crash/fire I swear if you have not seen it your lucky please don't watch it . i cried and was sick at my stomach after i watched it

i hope the crew in this vid was ok

  • so stupid not to wear fire protection, dtms they are top to toe

  • Thats why they dont fuel and change tires at the same time anymore... well most series dont allow it.

  • Why don't they wear full fire suits?

  • damn!

  • i like how the jackman is just standing their holding the jack and wont get the fire extingwisher, and when he does leave the jack to look at somethikng he goes right back and holds on to it :)

  • Watching a nascar pitstop is like watching grass grow or paint dry!! Damn it tedious!!! STOP, DROP AND ROLL..........STOP, DROP AND ROLL

  • HAHAHA poor dude but is, VP c12 racing fuel.....I think so? caught fire with style

  • nitro meth is for pussies - vin diesel

  • like the way the guy with the jack does nothing to help

  • holy shit

  • takes about 18seconds for some dick to start putting the fire out, yeah, great work guys

  • SHIT

  • omfg , the jackman lets the jack go with no left front tire on then the car erups with flames....i think those guys have so practice to go LOL

  • How the heck did that happen?

  • Purée ils mettent même pas le casque alalala

  • haha this is kinda funny

  • how can you find this funny? THATS TERRIBLE THE BOYS ON FIRE! AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

  • its funny sad scary ect.

  • driver?

  • Unreal!

  • aaah looks horrible that dude that was screaming on the ground

  • Fuel must have spilt on the very hot disc brake and ignited

  • Stupidity !! The guy that refuel the car should use fire resistant clothes, but was wearing just normal clothes.

  • he was wearing Nomex fire resistant clothes.

  • u mean that silver appron?

  • no, fire resistant clothes look like normal clothes like what he was wearing

  • Thats My Older Brother Dan Fredrickson in that 36 Car and he knew those two pit crew members personally SCARY isn't it they could've died, one of them's name is jake and i knew him.

  • thank god for my fire suit and helmet... I'd feel naked going over the wall without it...

  • i dont see the driver getting out

  • The guys screaming in pain gave me chills D:

These people FAIL at fire protection, nevertheless.

  • What on earth are they playing at? Virtually no safety precautions taken at all.

In European endurance racing the engine normally must be turned off and the driver out of the car whilst the car is refueled by pit crew wearing full body/face fire proof clothing and no other work may be carried out on the car (so it isn't rocking up and down) and each team has to have a fire marshal (wearing the same protective gear) with a powder extinguisher (of set minimum size) standing by.

  • This appears to be pre-2002, about the time that NASCAR mandated pit crews use helmets and firesuits. Also these cars are extremely difficult to restart if they lose power, most of the time you need the crew to push-start the thing to get going again.

  • Voted down for being a Euro-elite douche.

  • pretty shitty response to a fire

    lol

  • y did the driver hit the gas at 47 seconds?

  • think the gas tank cought fire

  • I think maybe he was going to try to drive away from the scene.. problem was, he had no left side tires on. That's a classic example of a bad pit stop gone horrible.

  • What series was that?

  • LateModel

  • Wow that is horrible...poor guy, and the freaking car itself lit on fire too. T_t not good.

  • :40 seconds, the sounds the guy is making when he realizes he is still on fire is sickening sounding.

  • That was the crapiest response to a fire i have ever seen

  • Safety gear and fire suits is best safety because with those, it could save a driver's life.

  • Wow didn't expect to see the guy on fire and screaming, quite eerie.

  • If the guy with legs on fire was using nomex clothes, he is ok. The fireman should be near the refueling, and with a chemical extinguisher, that put fire off mnore fast. The water extinguisher took long to put the fire out in the guy's legs.

  • What an ignorant fool. Hope you catch fire yourself.

  • CRAP SAFTEY compare to Jos Verstappen Pit Fire German Grand Prix 1994

  • that is bad

  • Nomex is your friend..........

  • Looks like an ASA car.

  • thats crazy awesome and scary

  • I hate watching people on fire and screaming, makes me sick. Was everyone ok?

  • im pretty sure they were all ok..it was pretty well uncer control, road america has a great saftey team, very well trained

  • Oh yeah.. im sure their okay.. but how about the guy on fire.. is the fire put out?

  • Fuel must have spilt on the very hot disc brake and ignited.

  • @twp081321 There would be no need for a great safety team, if the mechanics had worn fire-resistance clothes.....

  • @Spiiidfr3aK Not sure if you've ever seen it, but even top F1-spec fire suits will burn if you give them enough encouragement!

  • @PabloTeK Yes for sure they will, but until that suits burn down to your skin it'll take about 2mins. Just google 'Kevlar' ;) /watch?v=2ObgxktL1OE&feature=related

  • Surely gas fire is tricky, but this one was handled very quickly. They should wear fireproof suits. I think they suffered minor burns.

  • nice fire ball RUN!!

  • When was this? It is RA, b ut I am curious to the year and event.
