It's hard to tell, but I reckon he's just about at the sidewalk by the time he gets hit. He had plenty of time to make it, and was probably in the right of way. I mean it's like a 6 lane road! You cross when it's safe and there will always be traffic coming when you're finally at the other side!

The other car wasn't about to speed up and hit him. If it hadn't come flying at him he would've been fine. Don't try and blame him, he'd be alive today if the PT Cruiser wasn't completely retarded :D
