It's a disapointment that all these tracks were closed especally know as I think tracks would save lives since it give kids a safe place to race

It sounds to me like these guys need to gear down some! Is it a 1/2 or 5/8 mile track? They're runnin to high down the front stretch it sounds like.

it's a 1/2 mile track and we run big motors for b-mods so the gearing is right, but depending on motor size i've seen gears range form a 5.00 to a 5.43 in that class. Our car runs a 5.29 gear and we turn roughly 7,000 to 7,200. Freeport tends to me more dry slick than tacky, on a week to week bases.
