yes,you can connect the GR 30 with other instruments via midi,or you can connect a midi-keyboard with the GR 30.
in my opinion is,the GR 30 is for midi the best choice(forget the GR55).and with a Midi Solutions Quadra Thru(IT'S A LITTLE BOX) i connect 3 computers and the GR 33 just in time and i have 0 latency.so you can get a lot of combinations of sounds.that's cool and it works.
I NEVER got my strat gk-2 to track like that. I would have errant notes thrown around like casper the friendly ghost in a windstorm. Nicely done. Which pickup system are you using?
This is the perfect Midi-System for all guitarist's,who want to play all Midi-Instruments(and i mean all Instruments) professional.
Roland GR 30+Gk 3+Yamaha Firewire GO44 or GO46
Other combinations(and i checked out the most guitarsynths and Aidio-Interfaces on the market) makes a lot of trouble to play music!

Fantastic tracking and playing! This is so relaxing, you must spend hours and hours just having a blast with that technology.
