Look closely at the frames after 3:00 he retracts his head and leaves the the tentacles up to make them think he got killed. It's the only explanation for the fact he is on RE6. Which by the way is staring Chris and Leon.

Albert Wesker being one of my favourite video game character of all time, I'll never forget this fight. I was up till 3.00 a.m in the morning, without ammunition, and no chance to win this epic battle. After countless attempts I gave up... I went to sleep and dreamt that I was competing against Wesker in a race: I finished the race first and deep down I was sad because I knew Albert would be lost. The next day I took up the fight and killed Wesker.

Now in my opinion if Capcom wanted. Have him come back, but have him severely burnt by the lava. Like scars or something. Then instead of making him the main antagonist. Have him as a minor antagonist or recurring character. Then the fans are happy, and RE5 actually had an affect.

I was actually satisfied with Wesker's death. Behind his cool and collected demeanour, he was a monster. When Chris and Sheva gained the upper hand against him, he slowly began to sleep. And he died refusing to accept his own mortality, which even Spencer chose to face.
