Careful Potato, once you start with those lights and LEDs it's hard to get out of it. Been there, done that.

Actually not at all "done" with that, I need moar lights and lasers! Pity it's all so expensive :-( (And no, $1.20 per LED is actually not expensive at all in my opinion!)

I plan on doing a project with my old speed-stack cups. They have 3 holes in the bottom each so I might order some lights and try to make a light shade or something where they hang down and it reflects out. I've nevr really done anything like that before but I'm trying to get more stuff into my portfolio before I apply to an art school (which included tech, computer software, and digital art and cartooning) so thats mainly why i might try.

I have one of those arduino's in my computer hooked up to a dozen of RGB Led and I can control them from my computer, that's awesome. You should buy one, they are really good! How cool would't that be, control your table from your computer :P

If you drill out some plexiglass, polish the drilled parts, place the led's in the holes you should get a surface that will glow on the edges like fiber optics. You can then pour Epoxy over it and get a thick waterproof stainproof easily cleanable surface ex. dining tables at places like a chili's where it has the thick coating over the wood. Not too expensive and really cool.

Hey Potato I know you have an Android phone, and I wanted to recommend an app. Its called Electrodroid. Its basically gives you all of the algorithms and formulas for figuring out which resistors, leds, and power source you need. (It also has stuff for capacitors and fuses) Anyway I use it all the time at work and its very helpful
