mehi hasan's voice creates magic what a great commond over singing have heard this multipule times but never gets tired of listening this really a great work for uploading this.
I grew up listening to this song when my father, an avid fan of Mehdi Hasan, played it on his cassette player. Then I only understood the music as soothing. When I grew up I remembered it well enough to appreciate the essence of love tangled in its very notes. If you need to start knowing about Ghazals, Mehdi Hasan should be the first option. And when youve mastered the art of ghazals, he is still the last melody that rings in your ears.

the translation is good but at some places the actual impact of the urdu poetry did not came out. Actually this happens when a translation of poetry is done in another language, it loses its impact. This is a very diffcult task. But still this is a very good translation.
The problem really is with the English language. It's not a complete language. Nowhere is this more evident in the last couplet - aap se phir tum huye phir tu ka khunwaan... - aap = you, tum = you, tu = you.
masaallah, insallah, whatever....thank god, you transleted the ghazal, god bless you....thank you so much......simply loved the way you transleted, I could easily say ...a great transletion..............
@devichaap hey . i will check this out with an urdu expert. :)
