  • po lil chickens

  • Very sad. Animal torturers should be punished. I buy pastured eggs now despite the extra cost.

On the other hand it doesn't make sense to attack Dunkin Donuts for the animal abuse commited by Michael Foods.

  • T_T that is so rong. If they hav all that money why cant they get bigger cages.

  • Shame on us, my fellow humans!

  • my god they get so much money so why cant they get bigger cages

  • And this is what these animals grow up and live in for their entire lives. It's hell on earth.

Lately I've been more relaxed about eating milk and eggs, but this video reminded me why I became vegan in the first place. Animals should never suffer like this just because we "feel like" having a donut for breakfast.

  • This is SO important, so urgent.

And yet I see that someone (or someones) are deliberately hitting the thumbs-down icon for anything supportive of this video.

Can you believe just how angry some humans can be?! I bet 75% of them think of themselves as Christians, too, huh?

As an atheist, I can only address these religious fanatics with: "Thou Shalt Not Kill."

The people being "negated" by the naive (nay, stupid?) posters are writing with love, care, concern, compassion.

  • This sickens me. Not because I care about the birds but because most people who care about saving these birds support abortions. Where are people's priorities? What's more important? The people being fed or the bird feeding them?

  • Those are two completely different issues. I know many pro-life and pro-choice vegans.

If you are sickened by abortion there is nothing stopping you from also being sickened by animal cruelty.

  • Why do my comments disputing some of the "facts" in this video keep getting deleted?

  • Seems Dunkin has someone here thumbing down any post against their bottom line.

  • No, I think there are just that many people who feel these comments and video are misguided. You don't see comments from those people here since the video poster is deleting any comments that don't 100% agree with their propaganda

  • I work at a chicken farm in the Brazilian countryside and I am aware of the cruelty fowls are submitted to. Though where I work hens and roosters aren't kept in cage, but in grower sheds, they live in limitted floor space, taking growth-promoting drugs which causes them to suffer from a great number of chronic disease including leg disorders and heart deseases. The way of raising layers shown in this movie is much worse than the one employed in the farm where I work at. I'm shocked.

  • i'm italian..

    i'm vegetarian!

  • I'm so glad that I am a vegan, but this still sickens to this day.

If Dunkin' really cares about animal welfare then they wouldn't support the horrible dairy and egg industries. I really hope one day soon they will have vegan choices for us vegans..

  • This is f*!cking disgusting.

Anyone who allows this needs to be confined in a 5'6" cell, for life.

    F*!cking barbarians.

  • AGREED!!!!! People are fuckin sick pieces of shit and deserve to die the same way these innocent loving caring creatures have died .. from what our effing stupid tastebuds.. AH people FUCK YOU!

  • People please have compassion and mercy. Consumers have so much more power than they think, please refuse to buy anything from Dunkindonuts until they use their R&D to make delicious Vegan alternatives that are cruelty free and so much healthier. Listen to you heart and think of all these innocent beings... they deserve a happy life just as we do. Be Loving, Be Kind.

  • If Dunkin Donuts "CARED" about animals and their welfare then we would not be sitting here watching this clip. Shame on Dunkin Donuts for making such a choice of supporting animal abuse!!

  • this is not how G-d wanted his creatures to live. This is awful!

  • By the grace of god, this is madness!

  • I'm sure Dunkin' Donuts isn't looking to actively cause distress to the hens in questions, but I doubt they look too closely at their suppliers' operations. They rely on infrequent, third-party evaluations. At worst they know and turn a blind eye, at best they've been lied to. And lets not forget what happens before this... nearly all male chicks get slaughtered before even having the opportunity to live their lives in confinement and panic. The only way to end it is to vote with you wallet.

  • I'm impressed you're at least addressing the issue. I believe many companies would ignore it. I hope reform comes if it is needed.

  • i eat at dunkin donuts all the time. i love their coffee. but i am going to stop buying from them (breaks my heart) until i learn that they've changed policies. ...and i'll probably tell some friends about what's going on... word can spread.

  • Dunkin' Donuts cares deeply about animal welfare and the well-being of our customers. We are working with Michael Foods to investigate the accuracy of this footage. All Dunkin' Donuts egg suppliers must meet our corporate standards and follow all laws related to animal welfare, as well as meet or exceed the United Egg Producers' guidelines to ensure the proper treatment of hens used for egg production.

  • Vegan donuts!

  • Bullshit. You care about profit and that's all.

  • You sure get your money's worth form your PR firm, such a bullshit answer. The Egg Producers' guidelines are likely a slap in the face. Why not get off your fat asses and either eliminate eggs (replacement = ground flax seed + Hot water = perfect donuts) or use HUMANE certified eggs, not just cage free that is a farce too!

  • Just stop using eggs. That is the only way you can stop the cruelty.

There are many replacements for eggs that work amazingly, give it a trial run AT LEAST.

  • thats just down right disgusting. all for egg product it really makes u think..

  • disgusting

  • All that just because people want a donut for breakfast with their coffee. Thats really messed up to me.

  • Not only that, but they defend their right to eat these tainted eggs and get angry at people who try to point out where these eggs come from.

Never mind the eggs, I'd like to know about the dairy farms that supply Dunkin.

  • I'd imagine the dairy industry to be just as bad :|

"Just because you aren't the ones pulling the trigger, do you think it makes you any less guilty of the crime?"

That quote kind of sticks with me.
