It sounds like the old video reels teachers would used to show us in school. Kids these days have smart boards, overhead projectors and all that nonsense. They will never know what it was like in the 80's or 90's.
Such an bizarre and beautiful picture this song paints. But i just cant stop thinking of that scene in the movie at the end. It is the perfect song for that part
this song creates such an atomsphere for your brain to be held inside of. It almost makes you feel as though your mind is the focal point of everybody elses minds, and our minds seem to be all linked together in some way, wether from childhood, or a loved one, or how today went etc. when the song is played, it brings out emotions about things that you knew was there, but the sounds gave it all that little push to help.
this movie was mad creepy with the music and filming and everything idk it just freaked me out and I'm 22. Like i just saw the movie recently for the first time and watched it again today, and I think its pretty fucked up lol
1995 brooklyn new york, 305 park, washington square park, mad skinny niggas and fly chicks, weed smoke and half empty 40 oz bottles: what this makes me think of lol
@noirkitten on his Bio it said he Ran away from home and Lived with a buch of skaters and he got arrested for weed and heroin and moved back with his parents when he was 19 then 6 years later died so yeah it was very trumped up but a small bit of it was.
Im from 33 from BK-NY and I hung out with KIDS like this. I wasnt influenced with the drug scene. This movie left me in a depressed state for a moment. This instrumental made it worse. I remember seeing the skateboard kid (Harald) chilling back in 05 in L.E.S. Manhattan
@LizLovesLollipops I agree.. must have been a great time. no emos, no internet manicas and no fear of beeing blown up by some fundamentalistic jerks. peace out brother
@GalerieDegeler well it does i mean shit is still all the same today like wat inner city teans an all teens are doin. but back then the times were cooler better music too.. only downfall were opinions about needin condoms back then
one of my favorite parts is when telly and casper at at tellys house and on the way out casper slams the door when tellys mom told them to be quite, i laughed so fuckin hard
telly in that picture from that scene on the subway reminds me of the days of toronto with my sister. i remember high school kids who looked and acted just like the kids of larry clark's movie. that's what 2000 was partly for me.
@windrix1 I agree. And the fukked up thing is, I mean, the motherfukkin movie was so ugly in so many ways, with all the rape and blood, and yet...and yet...well for one thing it was very well filmed and the acting was just so damm natural, so damm reflective of life as it truly occurs within the city, that the film resonated with a dark jungle like beauty, yer right. It's almost paradoxical to call this film beautiful but it really was; yer right about that.
I always thought this was Boards Of Canada. Funny though that Lou & company could do a-end of movie song probably better than any BOC song (for that sequence anyway)

@ operabitch77 i must say that i find it a little abrasive that you clump all Americans into one over generalized stereotype saying that you hate someone because they're American. I understand that you are trying to stick up for a place that you love but you dont need to ignorantly make comments that prejudice, and make you look obnoxious and immature....
How bout both you just go buy a gun, put in your mouth, and then pull the trigger. you guys are fucking adults using the web to fight like little ass kids.
