If I was on the sofa at the end listening to Tracii and Schenker trading shredding solos, I wouldn't be chilling like Black. I'd be masturbating everywhere!
Remember when this came out - this song really jumped out, cause of the energy and amazing guitar work. I think Schenker and Gunns really complement each other's playing on this one. They're different enough to keep it interesting, like you're listening to a conversation between two amazing talents. Rest of the band sounds great, too. Boy, remember when MTV actually played videos like this?
traci guns is a good player and he plays some good licks with good strat tone on this tune but at rehearsals when he heard Schenker play that lick at 4:00 he must of thought " jeez, what the f*&k am I gonna do now?"
You can tell that SCHENKER sound stands out, cantcha?! Anywho, be sure to see my channel segment, it's up on front at the moment, but suffered ever increasing sync issues and that was not a problem on my local HDD
@mnhay27 Someone removed it, not me, EVeryone's entitled to their opinion, as I find that Schenker's prolific work in recent years lacks the earlier inspiration, it's no less impressive given Schenker dedicated his life to playing, and it's paid off I think. No one has replaced him, yet
@MetallicBill Schenker is undoubtedly a legend but I actually prefer Tracii Guns' leads on this - a little more raw and passionate IMHO. I dunno, Schenker's playing seems a little sterile here to me, like he's just running up and down the fretboard with little inspiration and there's nothing melodic or memorable about. Just my opinion of course :-)
there was not a single shot with the singer that doesn't look absolutely ridiculous, how could they let him make such a fool of himself, maybe to take the heat off the fact that they're almost as silly looking, there are way too many people that seem proud of this production, it's not like the song makes up for the video either
@natetureboy1618 It's a cover, and it's a jam as the band were intending to do, I think Richard Black looks best in the Street Cowboy look, with the black hat, Anyway, it's meant to probably show a relaxed Jam attitude, where I recall friends doing much the same in a basement with a drumkit
Still sounds fresh, I had a hankerin' for Schenkerin' Actually I caught the relatively new Joe Elliot England Rocks and there was Ian Hunter! Of course
I bought this CD when it came out, and I still listen to it every now and then. This is such a great song, I love the way they re-did it. BTW, does anybody else think that Richard Black looks a lot like John Cusack? LOL
Ah, this takes me back...Raw Power on ITV with Phil (Alexander) & Ann (?). The only rock/metal programme on tv at that time unless you had Sky and could watch Headbangers Ball - which I couldn't :-(

@natetureboy1618 maybe they should sit in front of the camera, no shirt, say nothing and pretend they are doing something important like yourself?
Stop taking yourself so serious man and enjoy the fun they're having. We are not listening to amateurs here.
