  • He is so hot! I met him at the Pizza in Beverly Hills. He stared and stared at me then started telling me how beautiful I am. I was so awkarded and said Thanks (smiling) ....He gave me the tender hugs overwhelming me... wow! I felt the heart beating....whoa...he is amazed!

  • @Gripmaster3000 so..

  • Mickey you big Sissy Mary you"

  • great performance

  • he looks very different in the movie

  • A true hollywood great and so glad he's back on the scene. This film made me appreciate wrestling too ! Rourke's performance is dripping with soul, emotion and all heart. Welcome back Mick.

  • mickey is awesome its like everyone in interviews hangs on every word he says

  • Rourke is on the spot about Aronofsky. He the Kubrick of our time.

  • This was the performance that movie goers were expecting out of Mickey Rourke for the past twenty years. For those who grew up watching pro wrestling through its hey day in the 90s, this movie depicted the behind the scenes realities of the business. What left when you are well past your prime, can no longer sell out huge outdoor stadiums, and your health is in decline? Anyway, I loved the movie. However, the super close up filming angles didnt work for me.

  • I watched this movie with a washed up wwf wrestler.. interesting hearing his views on the movie!

  • bruce willis and mikey will be perfect to play kane and lych

  • that would be fuckin awesome !

  • Agreed.

  • Fucking Love this movie!!!!!!!!!!!! Watched it 2 times once before i went to sleep and when i went to sleep and when i woke up!!! :D

  • is that interviewer a guy or girl ? :O

  • @Sandelama321

    "Manny the movie guy!"

  • what a great movie,he should have won it

  • GREAT INTERVIEW ;)

  • thanks :)

  • SUCK MY COCK!

  • Manny Pacquiao! Definite favorite boxer in the world. Pinoy Pride!

  • Definitely my favorite movie of all time. I Love this movie. Bruce's song at the end was also a tear dropper

  • dude any one who actually does that shit and posts this comment around for the 143 minutes or wutever is a dumbass and should kno better. initiate making out /asking out ur crush, dnt have faith in sum stupid comment like this one. oh btw the wrestler is a kickass movie i recommend it! woohoo!

  • no gay at all the chinese

  • Good interview! love Mickeys style!

  • I love him too :) Have a great day! Manny

  • great job.. i love this movie..

  • oh jeez...what happened to interviewers who didn't try to become movie characters themselves?

  • i would give anything to interview Mickey Rourke. Ever since i saw the wrestler he has been my favorite actor.

  • i love The Wrestler, and tbh this interview was pretty awesome as well.

    good job Manny

  • thx so much!

  • Great movie!

  • is mandy a man or woman

  • It's Manny...and it's Mister Manny to you LOL...

  • Best flic Ive ever seen Rourke in, hands down! This movie was very emotional. I found myself thinking about it for a long time after I had seen it. 2 thumbs up and 4 stars.

  • My fave movie is still 9.5 weeks!

  • This film did make me cry! I loved the way it was filmed. This story filmed &documented like it was allowed me to relate to real life stories of people from the city I grew up in. Definite reality feel. Fantastic! Please stick around Mr. Rourke!

  • whats the soundtrack in the first seconds???

    i need it for chilling:)

i felt cry when i saw this film:(

    but i love it:)

  • The Wrestler by Bruce Springsteen

  • he looks like a thundercat, plus he gropes angels like jessica alba, fuck him and his roids.

  • Manny Pacquiao!!!!!

  • :) Yeah, we talked about him :)

  • Really great interviewer. The fans love you and so do the actors.

    :) Good job.

  • Aw...thanks bunches! I enjoyed interviewing Mickey...although I was nervous as heck :) Have a great weekend!

    Manny

  • lol don't mention it A_A I would be nervous too lol

You have a great weekend too man

    Peace

  • Who actually got the oscar ? o.O

    Mickey deserved to get it.

  • Sean Penn for "Milk"

  • manny's interviews are always so great because he asks different types of questions that other interviewers never ask.

he doesn't just ask the same old things and he makes the interviews really interesting to watch. the actors and actresses he interviews really seem to perk up and be more interested in him too. nice job manny, we love you

  • Hey there, thanks so much! I try...I do my research...and then I add a little bit of my passion :) And it helps, when I really love the film, like "The Wrestler!" Have a great week ahead :) Manny

  • Mickey's performance was so amazing, he totally deserved the Oscar.

the academy doesn't have any credibility, just trying to make political statements through awards.

  • @thundersky6 that was completely based on prop 8 don't you think?

  • @thundersky6 I agree. I love the realism in this film and the variety of emotions felt throughout it.

  • @thundersky6 You got that right, that's why movies like blind side and precious always win now a days.

  • mickey is great he the best actor no thing about so **** the person who got it

  • To be honest I had no clue what he can do before this movie... He did a great performance - backed by a great script - but has he done anything on a similar level before?

  • check out the movie Spun if you haven't already... he has a smaller role but he's great in it.

  • I rather see this movie than "Milk". I been watching Pope of Greenwich Village lately and so what if the movie is old but its good

  • Mickey rocks but I gotta say the outfit he is wearing leaves something to be desired .

He was robbed at oscar time.....

  • I'm glad you mentioned the documentary style. That was something that really impressed me about the film.

  • manny your amazing, sorry for mistaking your ethnicity, great interview, great questions!

  • oh no problem, and thanks sooo much! Manny

  • thanks for the info. i'm glad he received recognition for his work. it's unfortunate that they are so friggin clickish, that they would blow awards in a heartbeat to untalented buddies, when someone out of the loop is far more deservant...shish!

    long live the underdawg!

  • i still can't believe he didn't get something for this.

  • he got the indepedant spirit and BAFTA, which is like british oscars oh and he's our "peoples choice"! :=)

  • Oscars are all bull shit their giving them self awards fucking sham . Let the people vote or go by the box office ! Mickey you fucking won you just happen to get screwed by these fake ass fucks with their nose up their homo ass .

  • A few words from Mickey Rourke: life is hard, but cocaine helps.

  • Mick reminds me of a functioning junkie, they are some hardcore mofos and so is he

  • we the audience should decide who wins not Hollywood liberal assholes

  • Wow. No. The audience shouldn't decide. The reason it isn't a vote is because the movies are analyzed CRITICALLY, not voters who see a movie and instantly go vote for it because they don't stop and think about what made the movie good. Also the fact that a lot of Hollywood is liberal has NO RELEVANCE whatsoever as to how a movie is viewed critically. Mickey didn't win, get over it. He still received a lot of praise for his role and this movie saved his career.

  • I mean, if you guys all think the Oscars are such bullshit why do you care if Mickey didn't win one? We all know he did a great job, so who cares?

  • Deserved to win. penn is the biggest douche bag alive. Fuck the academy and fuck the people who vote. Bunch of fucking snobs who know nothing about movies. This award should be left up to us, the real movie fans.

  • deserved the oscar...penn sucks

  • has anyone seen year of the dragon it looks decent ... ive never seen it in a video store do u know if they made it on dvd anyone ????

  • this movie looks so good ,. so glad to see rourke getting some recognition hes such a cool guy makes me emotonal just watching trailer

  • Sure loved the movie and so glad to see Mickey back in front of the camera. I loved his early stuff and was disappointed he wasn't around anymore. the Wrestler was hard for me to watch (turned my head during the glass, ladder, stapler stuff) but loved the intense heartstrings part. . no hollywood ending. . Love this interview too Mr. Manny! You rock!

  • Aw...Thanks so much :) Have a great day! Manny

  • I just saw Mickey in "The Wrestler" and I have to tell you, if he doesn't win the Oscar I would be so disappointed. He was so moving and intense in this film. This is his comeback film. I also saw "Milk" and even though I thought Sean Penn was great in that role, the Oscar deserves to go to Mickey.

  • wow rourke was amazing!!!!!! i was in tears over half of the movier!!! i also really enjoyed marisa tomei's performance!!! i thought she was really vulnerable and relatable! i think rourke's performance is alot like daniel day lewis's last year in there will be blood. i also think that the relationship rourke and aronofsky shared was similar to that of daniels and paul thomas andersons in there will be blood. Great interview!!! keep up the good work!!

  • Wow, I've never thought of that...Rourke and Daniel Day Lewis...but it makes soooo much sense! Thanks for watching :) Manny

  • ;;beatlesgirl44 ;;sorry but how they are a lot a like, one evil heartless rich oil man and one poor man facing a hard life sorry I'm not following

or maybe you mean they booth got separated from their childes in a different way one with anger and other with grieve

  • I meant more the actors than their characters because both actors were out of work for a while and then they came back with a huge comeback. also they both focused all of their energy into their characters. another similarity between the two is that they had a good relationship with their directors and most likely would not have done the projects if it were not for the the directors. i really don't see similarities between the characters either!

  • I love how he is so selfless and gives all credit to the director while Mickey made the whole movie happen. Without him this movie would have been swept under the rug.

  • agreed. and Mickey also says that the director brought out the best in him.

  • IS this about Brett THE Hitman heart?

  • I think it's more about Jake "The Snake" Roberts...I asked the director that...thanks for watching! Manny

  • My dad met her and I missed it but later she told me how neat he is. I had to go back on cash and had called my dad to come meet her. Dad snuck in and went upstairs and they talked about me! Dad gave me the photo and waited to drive me home. I go up to my locker and there alone there she was. I just about died! Mrs C and I just watched Y and R on the same couch before my shift. Then I realized it was not that she was a celeb it was she wanted to say hi. I was fine after that. I just fainted. :)

  • I never mentioned or asked about George. As an interview guy you know you must respect peoples privacy! I was just thrilled to let him know his stories are great! Is it the same for you when you meet an actor? I met Mrs Chancellor when I worked at Zellers. Jeanne Cooper is a great person. We chatted alone after her late night visit. She gave me a pic etc. I dont have it anymore. Those things mean little a chat I will always remember. I was amazed how tiny she is. And my mind exploded a bit!

  • Your a Taurus like George! His birthday is the 6th! Not that I am a fan LOL. On a funny note I used to email Nick when he wrote for the Cincy Post. I miss his funny stories. I had seen Oh Brother on tv and googled. and found a defuncted site for George Clooney Studio. They published Nicks three times a week stories. Sadly the paper shut a few months later. Nick wrote for Cincy for ten years and the paper shut after 100 years! Life is cruel.

  • Manny you must be a mind reader! I just checked back here and YouTube mobile has not even posted your response to my email on Mocospace! Weirder still before the movie started they were playing Miley Cyrus videos. I escaped running to the lobby and knocked into a cute guy putting up the display for 3D! We yakked about Mickey when the movie started and I had to go back in! That happens alot like someone up there wants me single! I was born on lovely Halloween your not a Scorpio too are you?

  • lol..that's a cute story...it's just not your time yet to have a partner in life....but it will come...No, I'm not a Scorpio, I was born on May 5th...Cinco De Manny is what they call it in the TV station :)

  • mickey is better than ever !!!!!

  • It brought painful memories of my own life back. Not in that line of work but something like it. I was NOT ready for that and I burst out crying. I wonder what pound of flesh the producer wanted from Mickey. I knew then what a great actor Mickey is to visit those dark areas. I can hardly wait what he will do next. But please not Iron Man! I wont see it. Yet Batman THAT would be up my alley or a good bloody horror! I cant stand romantic comedy! Take care!

  • Wow...the movie really affected you...fantastic! It is a powerful film, loaded with powerful performances headed by Mickey Rourke! Changing gears for a second, have you seen My Bloody Valentine 3-D yet? I had fun interviews with the cast...since I noticed you love horror flicks too :) Take care! Manny

  • Robin! The backroom is identical to that store they filmed in! I blast a radio to stay sane at nine bucks an hour. I so loved when he quit! I have done that in my head tons of times! I work with sharp knives. :) A big blade I call Sweetness at 3am ya get crazy thoughts! At the end of the film I wanted to give Randy a big hug and protect him. They all let him down and he tried so hard. I tried not to cry when he yelled at Pam and threw money at her.

  • Now don't be playing randomly with Sweetness :) Manny

  • Hey Manny! Thought you should know I saw the wrestler at the World Exchange Plaza at 10pm Monday. They play it just at that time. Bus strike kinda over and had to walk a bit in the -17 Ottawa cold but it was worth it! Plus I was and still am sick. :( Yet for two hours I was not in pain. I have not been lost in a movie since Michael Keatons Batman! I work at a grocery store alone at night making fruit and salad bowls. The apron hairnet gloves I related to

  • Mickey deserves the Oscar!!!

    There's no doubt about it!!!

One of the best performances I've seen and I've seen a lot...

  • whos the fucking nutter interviewing him?

  • I'm the nucking futter interviewing him...may I help you? :)

Have a great day, and thanks for watching!

    Manny

  • I like mickey rourke's style and yours too manny.

  • Aw...thanks bunches :) I'm sure you have a great style as well :)

    Manny

  • I've seen The Wrestler 12 times now...gonna make it 20...I'll wait for the dvd and buy the 2 disc...cant wait!! 1 2 3RAM!!!

  • Loved that movie!

  • Das ist doch HELGE SCHNEIDER...Katzeklokatzeklo...ja das macht die Katze froh

  • I would just like to know if his skin looks aged

  • Great interview. Mickey rocks as usual.

  • Manny, you are a fantastic interviewer! I've seen many recent interviews with Mickey where he seems uncomfortable and kind of tight-lipped. But with you he really opens up and gets expressive about the movie and his experiences! Fabulous job Mr. Manny!

  • Aw...thanks Miss MaryJames! He was one of my favorite interviewees :) And I was nervous as heck prior to the interview :) Have a great day! Manny

  • Sweet and Mickey Rourke? Well you have restored my faith about the stars! Personally I would be terrified of meeting someone I liked. Finding out that George Clooney for example was a jerk would shatter me! Sorry about double posting YouTube mobile is horrid! I have an email under Roberta-Bobbi on mocospace I use a chatsite for email. Your neat Manny Take Care

  • Oh no, George Clooney was actually one of the best interviews I've ever done...check it out, from Leatherheads, when you can :) And check out my main website as well :) Have a great weekend!

    Manny

  • You do exist! I am new to YouTube and didnt realize you were the interviewer! Cyber is a small scary place! What I said about nasty thoughts I should explain since you met him. I heard the rumours and stuff like most people outside Hollyweird. I have never been there but it does not seem fun with TMZ behind every bush. From what I see he appears very human unlike anyone in interviews from Tinseltown. Dare I say human? Take Care

  • Yeah, that's why I was nervous prior to meeting him...but he was so relaxed, calm, collected, and funny, and yes, sweet! He's one of my best interviewees ever :)

Thanks and have a great weekend!

    Manny

  • The interviewer is a nice dresser! Liked Mr Rourke Mr Mickey? BRAVE guy to say that to him! In Diner and Sin City as Marv(the only watchable part his role was too short) have a feeling may become a fan. Hopefully YouTube will post The Wrestler. Day 44 of a bus strike here in Ottawa Canada and I can just walk to work. Saw Mickey on the Globe and his Peta ad and interviews on YouTube. I had nasty thoughts then in an interview said people dont know who he is. I will keep an openmind.

  • Thanks bunches! When you can, try catching The Wrestler at the movies...it deserves to be seen :)

    Thanks again!

    Manny

  • Mickey has inspired us all. I believe his voice will also be in high demand... used for voiceovers. His is a great story about humility and the resurrection of a career!

  • He deserves to win the Oscar for this movie. Amazing performance.

  • my dad's the guy filming this interview

  • Really? That's great :) Manny

  • I'm glad Mickey won the Golden Globe. Fantastic sound on that interview.

  • Thanks sooooo much! Manny

  • Mikey put allot of his own life experience into the character Ram.

    I really feel for him.

I hope nothing but the best for him.

Thank you Mickey for entertaining us for so many years.

  • I love Leo and Brad but Mickey Rourke really deserved this award. I'm so happy that he won. I LOVED this script, the characters, the soundtrack, everything. I cried and cried during the movie!

  • Your RIGHT! This guy is a sincere, honest well deserving guy. He IS the come back kid and he really appreciates it and says so! Mickey is the most down to earth guy in Hollywood.

  • Hey Manny.

    Loved this interview.

    He won!

    Mattie

  • He won the golden globe tonight.
