well, you know what? I like SASHA better! you don't have to like, criticize me because of who i like better in skating.I like sasha for her beautiful spins and amazing extension. I NEVER said that Michelle Kwan was a bad skater, because she most certainly is not. But you're all saying how Michelle has more medals or whatever? well sasha hasnt skated quite as long as her. I think both are amazing and id like, kill to be as good. But i just prefer Sasha, im no longer gonna bother with you people.

@omghaleyy713 Michelle had a stellar career. It doesn't matter if she has been medalled or not. She has been a World Champion, and a National Champion... does it all adds up to what she has become? I've heard people being weepy , even accusing Michelle of not being good enough, even calling her names. Have one even considered the fact that there are some highly sensitive fans of Michelle Kwan? Oh, this is not entirely directed to you.

No one could argue with that...her problem was she never was on when she needed to be. That's how Michelle managed to best her all of those times. Maybe Sasha will try again at the 2010 Olympics...of course she'd have an even tougher time with the jumping abilities of Mao Asada, Yuna Kim, Caroline Zhang, Mirai Nagasu, Carolina Kostner and more.

Oh, lets see Tara has one Olympic Medal Gold, One National Championship medal, Sasha has one Olympic Medal Silver, One National Gold Medal and who know how many silver and bronze. Lets lee Michelle has 5 World Gold Medals and 9 National Gold Medals along with how many 6.0's, I believe it is 50 but it could be more. Those two girls will never hold a candle to Michelle.

And she started when she was six, won nationals at roller skating at age 9! silver at age 8!

Never said Michelle had a OLYMPIC GOLD Michelle career so far 1992-2005 60 golds 26 silver 8 bronze plus numerous other finishes below 3rd Sasha 1996-2006 17 gold 19 silver 6 bronze plus numerous other finishes below 3rd Sasha never won Nationals until Michelle was out with an injury, Michelle wasn't standing in her way Sasha just couldn't top Michelle's performances she is just not the constant skater like Michelle.

the only reason i don't think tara is better is because she didn't stay around long enough to prove that she was better. she beat michelle a few times and then left. it would have been better if she stayed around for another year or two and proved that she could beat her over a longer period than just a season. michelle's earned being better because she stayed in the sport and beat everybody that came thru the door...that's greatness

tara had hip problems...so she had to leave. she had surgery, 2 times. But your right...Qwan is very good.

Michelle had severe hip problems too...hers just came later in her career tho. It's sad how skaters have to undergo major hip surgery when they hit their 20s. I vaguely remember hearing that Tara underwent hip surgery at about 20 years old. They contributed a lot of that to the 3 loop-3 loop combo she did. Yuna Kim is suffering from hip problems right now, and she's like only 16 years old. People talk about figure skating like it's easy, but it is super demanding on the skater's bodies...
