  • Dad bought this Island when I was about 5 years old in about 1958 he sold it when I was about 14( wish he never had sold it) during in that time he rebuild all the cottages and the cedar studio built a new boat house and strong wie jetty. we had lovely summer holidays and also as my father was an engineer in Birmingham having a factory called Lemark he liked to make sure we spent our holidays away from Sutton Coldfield Warwickshire. Now as I live in Australia dearly wish to go down memory lane!

  • i spent most of my childhood (80's and 90's) on that island and must say your video almost bought a tear to my eye. Its a perfect piece of paradise in poole harbour that hasn't changed a bit. Apparently, The cottages near the jetty are a holiday let now. would love to go back and have a little 'quiet time'.

  • I love this video, thank you for posting it. The Harbour in the old days before all the 'Sandbanks Madness'. Excellent music choice too.

aww lots to love here, Well done

  • This video was put together well. The song matched the era, and it reminds me so much of some of the old Kennedy family videos in the U.S. What an incredible childhood. Memories on film to last forever!
